Bill Whittaker was very thorough and responsive. He is easy to work with and communicates clearly to make sure that all the bases our covered. I never had to wait long to receive a return email or phone cal. The law firm seems very organized. Every task from receiving documents to paying invoices had an electronic option and was easy to do.

I was referred to Mr. Whittaker's Law Firm by a friend of mine and as this was my first separation, he took the time to address my commoner questions and concerns. He was extremely efficient and as soon as I hired him he was on the ball thus saving me a lot of time and money in the long run. That's really all I could ask for and I am highly satisfied with hie performance!

Bill is very no nonsense, doesn't beat around the bush. He gave me great preping for trial. He left no stone unturned. He made sure I had my evidence for all possible outcomes. I like how he humbles himself in court and shows the judge respect. If there's something Bill wants to do in my case that I don't feel comfortable with he listens to me and respects my wishes. In the begining I was nervous that my divorve was going to be too expensive. Seeing Bill in action in court and seeing the results I'm getting I have now realized the money was well spent. He supported me through a very depressing time by refusing to let me give up on myself. Bill is not only a good lawyer he was also a mentor and a part of my support system. Worth every penny.

Thank you to Bill and his paralegal Cherie for helping me through a difficult and stressful time in my life. Bill was patient with me and took time to explain the pros and cons for the decisions I had to make. He was with me every step of the way and always had my back. Bill Whittaker represented me in a very painful separation agreement. He did everything he could all along the way, to ensure the outcome was as good as I could expect. I had been with a reputable family law attorney and firm for a year, and it was being suggested that I "settle" with terms that made me very uncomfortable. After spending many thousands of dollars, I was at loss and felt like I was being overwhelmed, and that my attorney didn't have my or my son's best interests in mind. Weaver, Bennett, & Bland's firm was brought to my attention during this time of contemplation; so I called, feeling I had nothing to lose. Mr. Whittaker spent almost an hour with me on the phone: listening, and going over the possible outcomes. Within a week, I had left my previous firm and started working with him. My case was an arduous process due to various circumstances; however, there wasn't a single time when I felt Mr. Whittaker was losing hope that we would come to a much healthier agreement for myself and my son. Mr. Whittaker's reassurance and fortitude completely changed the dynamic of my case, and I can't say enough good things about his work, his assistant Cherie, and the final outcome.

I am a client of Bill’s and I have been very pleased with the results he has obtained for me over the years. In addition, others I referred to Bill later told me they were extremely pleased with his handling of their cases. I find Bill to consistently be caring, thoughtful, creative, but realistic in his professional, legal assessment of a case and the likely outcome(s) should the matter be brought before a judge. I also find Bill to be extremely knowledgeable of the applicable law(s) and any relevant case(s). Where he had prior experience, Bill also appropriately considered opposing counsel’s typical approach as well as the judge’s past decisions on similar cases. I found Bill’s approach to preparing a client for testimony in court to be extremely effective. In my opinion, his knowledge of what exhibits should be presented and his attention to detail in preparing exhibits was a significant factor in winning favorable judgments. I thought he used the appropriate mix of exhibits he prepared, such as copies of relevant case law for the judge, and exhibits only a client could effectively prepare, such as a photo album showing parental interaction with a child over time in a complex, highly contested custody case for a client I referred to him. For the exhibits a client could / should prepare, Bill provided precise recommendations of what was needed and why, increasing the likelihood that the client would produce what Bill needed in court. In the one instance, when I referred a friend to Bill, but my friend wasn't following Bill’s advice, which was jeopardizing the outcome, I found Bill’s handling of the issue to be extremely professional and fair. Bill is more effective in using the services of his paralegal, Cherie Carter, than were most other attorneys who have represented me. This is an extremely important skill for an attorney who may be in court representing another client when you have an urgent matter requiring attention. Finally, I have always found Bill to be reasonable in his billing, not like attorneys I've seen go to court when the risk of losing outweighs any possible gain from winning.

Bill Whittaker was easy to work with and understood my situation from the start. As a women I felt comfortable working with him and had confidence in his ability to help settle my separation. Even though I moved out of state during the negotiations, he, and Cherie Carter his paralegal, kept me informed at every step. I am completely satisfied with his efforts on my behalf and would definitely recommend him. I'm glad he was on my side!

When I say you can't make this stuff up, I meant it. My divorce/custody battle was not only the most stressful time in mine and my children's life but it was also the craziest. So much so this would have made some of the best reality TV out there. Thanks to Bill, even though we were faced with some things that he had never dealt with before, we were able to navigate through the whole acrimonious nightmare with ease, confidence and success. I travel for business and have a non-standard work schedule. My work schedules changes each month. Bill was able win 50-50 custody at my temporary parenting arrangement hearing! This allowed me to end up with 11 nights of custody a month. Bill is still my current attorney.
