I paid for Koontz law firm to represent my husband on a simple traffic ticket. I watched him struggle to have contact with Koontz law and quite a few unpleasant conversations when they occurred. Seems multiple people have had serious complaints against Koonts law. I encourage anyone with a compliant to go file a formal grevience @ncbar.gov. if you are looking for fair legal representation I would look else where.

Terrible communication, not sticking to attorney/client agreement, short tempered and unprofessional receptionist. I had to file a grievance with the Bar and terminate their services. Will NOT recommend.

This lawyer doesn't even deserve a star but unfortunately its google. I had a personal injury case back in 2012 and this lawyer sat on it for 9 Years. I have seen her before in the small town bar drunk instead of taking care of peoples cases. She was very UNPROFESSIONAL she would NEVER call back when I called her and when I did get ahold of her she always had some sort of excuse. She would have her assistant to message me on Facebook messenger which honestly would rather have calls (not to mention lawyers are not suppose to use social media to contact you). Also not to mention it was suppose to go to arbitration back in 2015 and when you hear things is going to arbitration it goes immediately not years down the road. Honestly I believe she got an offer from the other party and she got my case dismissed. Back in March of 2020 I said I needed to get to the bottom of this and she calls me in the office and says she can't do no more. If you knew you could do anymore why wait 9 years to tell. So now a lawyer won't touch my case because its sat for so long and she had my case dismissed. She is lazy and VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I would not recommend her to my worst enemy. She doesnt deserve to be a lawyer she needs her license taken fir good!!!

Couldn't get a hold of someone by phone so I left two messages a day apart. Koontz herself returned my call and left a very rude message full of vague threats. Avoid this one.

Needed legal advise and as soon as I called I felt that I would be well taken care of. Very professional, personable, and supportive. I got the answers I needed quickly and will definitely be my go to in the future!

I have used Koontz Law, PLLC several times and have been extremely impressed with their professionalism, friendliness, speed and accuracy in assisting me with my specific legal needs. I call and ask for Marti Lowery - Paralegal, because she doesn’t just treat me like a valued client. She treats me like a valued client and family member! Ms Koontz runs an excellent law firm with phenomenal staff!

I used Mrs. Koontz and her team for a child custody case. During this process there where times of self doubt and frustration that she helped me conquer with positivity and encouragement. I loved that she was honest and reasonable from the start. She never once gave me false hope. She is very responsibly priced and was forthcoming with what to expect financially. My child custody case ended with what was best for my kids and I could not have been more satisfied with the outcome. This process is not easy at any point but it did give me satisfaction knowing that I had a lawyer and her team supporting me and fighting for the safety and well-being of my kids.

Very friendly and understanding
