Not my real name...but I recently retained Dewey as a defense attorney. I had never been arrested before, and had no clue how the whole process worked. Dewey met with me before I was to make my first court appearance. He walked me through all my options, what to expect, and the best course of action. You could tell he was well seasoned, and knew exactly what he was doing. If you find yourself in need of good legal representation, and want someone that actually cares...definitely give him a call! Having spoken to half a dozen attorneys after being arrested, he was the only one that wanted to meet face to face beforehand and talk about the case. To me, that spoke to his character, and his willingness to help his clients.

I hired dewey Brinkley because a friend referred me. Mr Brinkley told me that my case is petty because it was a class I felony and for 1800.00 he would get it dismissed or only serve 1 week in jail. As soon as I paid him he then called me and said I was going to prison. He also told me he was friends with the prosecutor and he had him in his pocket. When I went to court dewey Brinkley told me that if I didnt accept the plea offer right then that my bond would be revoked although I turned myself in. He also lied and said he had several meetings with his prosecutor friend however I ended up in prison anyway even though he stated his colleague would not do that to his client because of their personal relationship. Dewey Brinkley also lied to me and told me there was no parole and I am from Florida so I am not familiar with north carolina law. Dewey Brinkley is a con artist attorney who will sell you dreams to take your hard earned money. In all honesty he really messed my life up. Good luck to anyone who chooses him for representation.

Mr. Brinkley was great. Easy and fast communication. I dont think he could made the process any less painless. Hopefully I'm never in need of a defense attorney again but if so I'm definitely returning to see Mr Brinkley!!
