I would trust Attorney Matheson with the most complex cases. I hired him to represent me in a case where the outcome could have been very long lasting, along with jail time. He far outweighed expectations in the courtroom. He tore down the prosecutor's argument, and the case was dismissed. His staff is very knowledgeable and will stay in constant contact through your entire process.

Attorney Matheson is a fantastic lawyer. I do not write reviews, but I do know what it means to need a lawyer and to need a good one. I am putting this here in case someone needs a lawyer and needs a real good one. Attorney Matheson is very responsive, very knowledgeable, and is honest about what your options are. I hired Attorney Matheson to represent me on a moving violation charge. I initially called on a Saturday, expecting to speak to an answering service. ( I called several attorneys prior to Atty Matheson.) Not only did he answer his phone, he graciously spoke with me for nearly 30 minutes! We hired Mr. Matheson for a situation regarding medication that WakeMed "police" charged misdemeanor for illegal possession. Mr. Matheson took copies of the legal scripts, pics of the bottles, and was very reassuring that the charges would be dropped. On the day of court, Mr. Matheson provided the necessary documentation to the Prosecutor who immediately dropped the charges. We found Mr. Matheson to charge very reasonable fees, and was true to his word. He told us how the process would go, and that's exactly how it went. Either he or his office responded within hours to any emails via their app. Very pleased and highly recommend!

I previously wrote a review stating I had not heard back from the law firm at all after reaching out to them, however, they did respond to my email but Avvo did not send the message to my inbox so, I rescind that review. Although I ended up sticking with my original representation, attorney Matheson and I were in the same court room and he found me and provided the email response proving that they in fact did respond to me. I've used Avvo before so the message didn't go to my spam folder. I simply didn't receive it via the Avvo app/service. Attorney Matheson was nice and professional and he takes his reviews to heart which let me know he cares about the service he and his firm provides.

Matheson Law Office is friendly, professional and very quick to respond. I received "another" pretty excessive speeding ticket (which I didn't think that I could get out of). They worked until they came to a resolution that was more then what I could ask for. This Law firm really wants to help and not just looking to make a quick $. Trust me. If you want someone you can trust and rely on without breaking the bank, call them!

Attorney Matheson helped me through DUI process that took many months. He correctly predicted the outcomes at every step of the process, told me exactly what to expect and always asked for my opinion on the options. He never gave me 'false hope.' and had me prepared for more difficult outcomes, but in the end he got my charges dismissed (extremely difficult to do). He charged a flat rate for handling the case, just has he proposed at the first meeting. His team is terrific, too.

Mr Mathison was easy to understand, patient when asked to explain further, and knowledgeable of the law and the court process. Clearly outlined the choices for my girlfriend's DWI from the beginning and his planned approach to defense. I was participating for moral support and an extra set of ears to recall conversations. one office visit, numerous emails/texts, two court apprearances (scheduling and shopping district attorneys). And he had a back up plan to for an appeal if we lost. After the case was dismissed on a technicallity he spotted, he is working to expunge the arrest completely. Hope to never need him again, but would return and highly recommend.
