Seemed knowledgeable outside of court but was completely unconfident and incompetent in court.

Jeff Marshall and Sarah Privette represented me in a highly contentious divorce following an abusive 30-year marriage with a malignant narcissist. Sarah and Jeff are extremely knowledgeable in Family Law and they provided sound guidance every step of the way. They were highly effective during mediation with successful resolution of my case that appeared destined to go to court. They gave sound advice based on practicality and their wealth of experience. Sarah also successfully represented me in a Contempt Case filed by my ex-husband. With a history of abuse, it was extremely difficult for me to go through much of the legal process. Jeff and Sarah were patient and understanding with enough of a stern push to help me be able to complete the work for my case. With Sarah’s background in Domestic Violence cases, she was extremely compassionate and provided the support and reassurance needed to get me through both cases. She is a thorough and dynamic litigator who covered all bases which led to a successful outcome. Sarah’s experience, compassion and skill were unmatched by other attorneys I interviewed prior to choosing Marshall and Taylor. Her preparation and reassurance gave me the confidence needed to effectively testify in court when a year earlier, I could barely speak on the phone about my case. I only wish I had found Sarah years ago. There are no words to adequately convey the appreciation I have for Sarah and Jeff. I set up an initial consultation with Sarah Privette at Marshall & Taylor regarding separation/divorce (a phone consultation because of the pandemic). When the appointment time came they called my spouse instead of me. When I spoke with Sarah and another staff member they both admitted the error but didn't really seem to care. The upset this led to was bad enough, but could have been so much worse. What if this had been a situation involving child custody or domestic violence?

I had a difficult custody situation between two states and Sarah gave me the piece of mind and trust that was so necessary to keep going! She also helped me understand my rights more in the situation, which I will always be so grateful for! I would recommend her to anyone who doesn’t want to feel alone through the process!

Always advocates for the needs of the child and best overall interest. Sarah is a voice of reason when decisions need to be made she presents all of the options available, provides further explanation & applied professional knowledge. Sarah is quick to assess a situation and act as a voice of reason throughout proceedings. I am thankful for Sarah’s continued service of whom I can trust.
