If I could give them less than one star I would. If you are looking for an attorney who actually cares about your case or your child- I advise steering clear. They will only work for you if you have deep pockets. I am a single mother and a registered nurse trying to find an advocate for my child and myself. I was consulting with their firm as I was not happy with my current attorney. I was impressed with how sweet and genuine Kim sounded and thought I might have found the right place as she assured me that they would “definitely be able to help, you have found the right place”. She confirmed that she consulted the attorney (Jamie Davis) and that she would definitelty be able to help me. I was also told that the consultation would be $500 for unlimited time with the attorneys. Not only did she and her counterpart make me feel awful with their condescending looks and tone- but they refused to listen to anything else I had to say. At the end of this traumatic encounter (1.5 hours)- she had the nerve to say that if I wanted to retain them after my next hearing, I could, but I should stick with my current attorney as she knows my case better. I was under the impression that I would have “unlimited time” in this consultation where they could have gotten all of the information about my situation/case. To add insult to injury they refused to allow me to make payments on the consultation fee- which they knew I could not afford to spend on, essentially, nothing. So my advice is to steer clear- but if you have the money and don’t mind attorneys that have no soul or conscience- this is the place for you.

I highly recommend Jonathan Melton as your divorce attorney. He was professional, courteous, intelligent and truly cared about helping me though my divorce. He was honest and straightforward. Always answered my questions or concerns within 24 hours. He explained the process and was there for any questions or concerns I had along the way. He worked quickly and efficiently to not only save the headache of the divorce, but money too. If you're getting divorced in the state of NC, hire him.
