I have worked with Joan on a number of issues over the years. I find Joan's knowledge and opinions to be thoughtful and spot on. While I do not need a lawyer frequently, she is my go to person.

We rely on Joan’s exemplary skill to handle our company’s eminent domain and real estate litigation in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia. Her approach is the most innovative that I have seen. She is proactive in dealing with state and city roadway projects, often addressing a situation before it becomes a major problem for us. She seeks compromise where appropriate, but does not hesitate to litigate an issue that requires judicial resolution. Her knowledge and expertise has proven invaluable to us time and again.

Ms. Davis implements a practical, common sense application of the law in her practice. She maintains a tremendous demeanor and her personal consistency day in and day out is to be commended. She is calm in a storm and tough in a non-combative / non-inflammatory manner as she negotiates land mine after land mine. Ms. Davis developed a plan for my family inclusive of a will and has assisted our family business in a handful of different - sometimes difficult - legal issues.
