Oh my Goodness, where do I start? First of all, since I'm from a tiny town in Duplin County, finding legal representation in Raleigh was something I knew I had to do. I had no idea where to begin because I was not from the area. I only knew that I required the best. After our video conference, Attorney Daphne gave me reason to believe that there was still hope for child custody arrangement that the biological father wanted to change after seven years of no contact. Elly represented me throughout the entire legal process, and let me just say that there are just no words to express how diligently she and Melanie—whom I miss—worked on my case. I really appreciate you both Melanie and Elly. I genuinely like the commitment and morals when it comes to the welfare of the minor child. Which ought to be true at all times. Finally a breath of fresh air! Never thought I would be saying that about a lawyer! I went to Daphne Edwards office with a friend who is going through an appeals process stemming from his divorce... (yes it did get to that point)... we went to the consultation and upon entering the office I could tell that this was a warm, inviting place. Throughout the meeting she never once acted like a “use car salesman “... if you ever been to a lawyer’s office, then you know what I mean!.. No, no pressure at all, in fact just the opposite, she sat down with us, dissected the issues, researched court findings and other information from previous cases and how they were handled, then educated us on what he ( my friend) next steps should be. Not once did I hear her say, “if you hire me”... all she did was enlighten and educated us on how the system works... then at the closing of the consultation, Daphne stated, “ if there is anything else I can help you with, please feel free to come back or call me if you need to.” That is a sign of a person who is interested in you and not interested in how much money you have! Don’t get me wrong, there is a fee for her services, but just based on the money she saved my friend, it’s well worth the price. If you’re looking for a lawyer who truly has your best interest in mind, and not how much money they can make off of you.... then, I strongly recommend Daphne Edwards as your representative and lawyer... Ms. Edwards, from the beginning of my initial consultation regarding divorce was very sharp and the only attorney who gasped and told me to repeat myself when I told her of one of the most egregious acts committed on my by my ex-wife where others seemed like it was typical. I also worked with Ms. Melanie Pfeifer and the star of my show, Ms. Ashley Fillippeli. Ashley and the team were absolutely fantastic, they were so patient with me and my situation. That being that I resided 500 mi away from Raleigh throughout the entire process. That added a layer of anxiety on my part, yet Ashley treated me like I was a block away. She communicated with me via phone, email and text.
