Super helpful. I just called him, he told me what to do, he went to court on my behalf, got a PJC, and sent me the bill. Given how much it would have cost me to have the charge on my record/insurance, he saved me a TON of money. Hopefully, I don't have to use him again (because that implies I did something else I shouldn't have)...but if I need a lawyer, he's a good one to have in my corner.

I can't recommend Mr. Portnoy enough. I got a ticket for the first time in about 10 years late for work one morning, doing 62 in a 45. After freaking out most of that day, I discovered Mr. Portnoy. He worked some magic and was somehow able to reduce my ticket to an improper equipment charge (meaning no license points and no higher insurance payments!). Don't freak out over a stray ticket let Mr. Portnoy handle it for you!

Doug Portnoy probably can’t walk on water, and I seriously doubt that he can turn water into wine. That said, I have seen him perform miracles. My first experience with him was the unfortunate result of me not paying attention during the first day of school, and getting a rather hefty speeding ticket in a school zone. Getting a ticket for conventional speeding is a problem, speeding in a school zone is a big problem. With his representation, he was able to plead down my case to improper equipment. No points, no insurance increases, just court fees. My second experience was a result of me having way too much fun in my brand new midlife crisis car. I was caught doing 97 in a 70. Once again, I reached out to Doug, who told me that this case might be a little bit more difficult than the last one. He advised me to proactively do 10 hours of community service, take a defensive driving course, and write a letter of apology to the police officer. Despite Doug taking care of to set my expectations a little lower, he was able to produce an extremely favorable, if not shocking outcome, which once again resulted in no points, no insurance increases and zero fines…only court fees. Bottom line, if you’re the recipient of any traffic ticket, big or small, your first and only call should be to Attorney Doug Portnoy.

Very good at what he does! He handled my 3 speeding tickets in a quick and timely manner, getting two dismissed!

Simply outstanding service! It took me no more than 5 minutes on the phone with Douglas to talk about by speeding ticket/citation, and he assured me that he could get that reduced to a lesser violation that would not affect my points nor have my insurer be notified (which end up costing way more in insurance premium down the line). Then all I had to do was wait for his email after the court date to proceed with the payment of the court costs. He ended up reducing my citation just as he said he would.
