Frank "represented" my husband jacobe conner, But never made it to one of his court dates. Was paid for two separate cases and when he was sub par on the first case we were informed by his wife or "secretary " we would be entitled to a refund for the deposit for the second case as we didn't wish for their office to represent us. But when we went to the office they refused to refund. I kept all text and call logs. He almost got my husband arrested. We had our case dropped and frank wasn't at that court date. We informed him via text they dropped it and got a "that's great " text back. Well somehow he was put on the next court date dockett as it didn't get recorded of it being dropped and if his bondmans Darlene wouldn't have called and let him know of the mistake he would have got a warrant. We went and had it taken care of that day and it ended up being a clerical error. I have all texts to prove what I say is true. Between my husband and frank. Also may I add that we never had a written contract but he agreed to 1500 for one case and 1000 down on the other. He kept the whole amount and like I said he didn't show to not one out 4 court dates.

I highly recommend Frank Lay , in the very beginning he was upfront and honest with explaining how long this process may take us. His assistant Cheryl was absolutely the best. She stayed in contact with me and was such a pleasure to deal with especially, when answering any of my questions that I may have had… we ended up going to trial and Mr Lay got me a not guilty verdict.. thank you Frank, I’m glad to have this behind me now..

Frank is a terrible lawyer. (Maybe other cases where he actually cared or tried went better) my mother paid him 10,000 dollars and In an entire two years that her case has been going on he has not shown up to one court date with her. He will not file any motions for her. He has not met not even MET one time in person. Worst of all when we tried to fire him he would not answer my mothers calls so she could fire him. The receptionist was extremely rude every time I called just to ask questions considering frank would rarely ever answer her messages. On top of all this we are out 10,000 on a lawyer who wouldn’t even pick up the phone. Shame on this entire place for taking advantage of my mother. I will continue to share this with whoever will listen.

If you get into trouble at WCU or in Jackson County, Frank Lay is your man, hands down. No one has more experience, or will fight harder in your defense. In my experience with Frank, the goal was always DISMISSAL OF CHARGES, and in my experience, the result was always DISMISSAL OF ALL CHARGES.
