I had the pleasure of dealing with the Jeff Porter law firm for a deed change to one of our homes. Unlike the other attorneys I tried to hire, this firm actually picked up the phone and spoke with me on the first call. The best part about the conversation was the fact I had the pleasure of dealing with Jackie. If I could use only one word to describe her it would have to be " incomparable ". I have used ( yes, I am a user of people ) quite a few Wilmington law firms through the years ( yes, I am a bad boy too ), but hands down Jackie was the best. Not only was she cheerful and professional in her manner, she was very knowledgeable of the areas of concerns I had addressed. As I am currently looking to purchase another home, I know the importance of first impressions. Just as landscaping and curb appeal prompts interest in a home, the first person you speak with is the representative of any business. After speaking with Jackie, I knew Jeff would be easy to work with. No employee could demonstrate such enthusiasm and cheerfulness at work unless their employer projects the same. When I spoke with Jeff my assumption proved correct. I had never had an attorney who didn't talk with you like just another client, until I spoke with Jeff. He talked to me like an old friend. We spoke of the legal questions of my current issue, and also talked about upcoming concerns. Where others might have asked to come in for a consultation, Jeff answered my worries over the phone...at no cost. With better pricing, great service, and prompt attention Jeff will now do my upcoming closing. I look forward to speaking with Jeff and Jackie soon. It was refreshing to be able to conduct a legal transaction on the island and not have to drive all the way to the Landfall area!
