I had put off declaring bankruptcy for several years. I contacted Gillespie and Murphy thru their link on the website. I was contacted within an hour and an appointment was made for a couple of days later. I worked with Patrick in the Wilmington office. From the beginning I felt at ease and that I finally made the correct decision. From the beginning, if any question arose I was able to contact either Patrick or Jaelah for clarification. Questions were answered promptly and contact was constant to keep me updated on the case. Patrick and Jaelah were a pleasure to work with.

Very people person kind of guy

Mr. Kornegay was very detailed and meticulous when preparing the documents that were needed to represent me. He represented me during my disability hearing and presented the correct corroborating evidence to the Judge which resulted in an approval for my SSDI. Without his knowledge of which important medical documentation to present at my hearing, I would have been uncertain of what evidence was/was not important to present during my hearing had I not had his representation. Throughout the process, he was always very honest with me about everything and never made me any promises or gave me false expectations (which other attorneys do just to gain a client). There was NEVER a time that Mr. Kornegay didn't return a phone call or failed to communicate with me (at length). Bankruptcy is an extremely difficult process to endure, given that one needs to employ an attorney that possesses the ability to guide you through LAW and at the same time negotiate your emotions. Mr. Kornegay was professional, courteous, and patient. He went through all of my medical records and advised me on what might in the long run hurt my case. When everything was said and done he helped me win benefits going back to the very first date that was claimed on my disability case.
