I would not think twice about hiring Dane for any legal representation. I have used him with several business transactions and plan to for anything in the future. He is extremely attentive. I have used other attorneys in the past and none of them have been quite as responsive as Dane. He is straightforward and to the point and always had my best interest in mind. When looking for someone to represent you in legal matters, you want someone who will work with you and communicate at anytime you feel unsure. When I was dealing with a legal battle in which I was wrongly sued, spanning almost 2 years, Dane was there for me. At no point did I ever feel the pressure of worrying about the outcome, because he was very diligent, always keeping me in the loop and telling me what could potentially happen next. Even when the other party was being difficult he maintained his pursuit to reach a conclusion. Working with Dane was honestly like have a wingman to watch your back and someone who is there when you need to talk. If you ever find yourself in a tough spot he will do his best to do the right thing for you, so I recommend giving him a call he was fantastic to work with.

I needed to find someone who was familiar with North Carolina corporate law to advise, guide, and write revisions for the Bylaws of a not-for-profit national breed club incorporated in the state. The club had charged the Bylaws Revision Committee with bringing the club’s Bylaws up to the latest requirements of state law. The club wanted to ensure electronic voting for club officers, directors and club officials was permitted, electronic meetings (Zoom, Webex, etc.) were permitted, and a general clean-up of typo’s, spelling, and grammatical errors. Mr. Scalise provided counsel to the committee on proposed changes, learned much about the dog world and how clubs are governed and suggested changes to make the entire process as easy as possible. His writing skills saved the committee much anguish in making the various sections internally consistent and understandable. He was prompt in responding to questions, thoughts, ideas no matter if it was on weekends or after hours. His wordsmithing skills were an invaluable help in creating a document acceptable to our Club’s Officers and Board of Directors, meeting the requirements of the American Kennel Club, and the Corporate statutes of North Carolina. I can recommend, without hesitation, Mr. Scalise. He takes his charge with each client personally, asking questions to clarify an issue, understand the issue, and to help provide solutions.

Dane is very thorough and pragmatic in his approach. I've retained him for multiple civil issues, and he has been punctual and honest at every turn.
