Lawrence was the best decision my family could have made. He represented me during a DUI case that was tricky to begin with. Not only did he prove me not guilty but served justice with integrity, swiftness and a positive attitude. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a lawyer.

Josue is an attorney who claims to be fluent in Spanish. This is a subjective matter as just like with Google Translate there are going to be some errors, he can indeed speak Spanish, but it is an unpolished way of speaking that appears to not have been practiced in years. When he is being spoken to in Spanish he often has to pause the conversation, translate his thoughts in his head and then speak them back to his Spanish speaking client. It is very uninviting situation. My Residential-Property case was presented to Josue, at that time he seemed confident in the fact that we did in fact have a case that was worth fighting for. However, as time transpired it became apparent that he had bitten off more than he could chew. Most of the time that was spent "preparing" my case was used learning about the North Carolina laws of property owners. After the legal fees that were paid to him had "run out" he straight up told me to find another attorney to handle the case WELL BEFORE we had even appeared in court. The icing on the cake is that once he appeared in court for the case he eloped from the courtroom after letting the Judge know that he no longer wished to represent us once he realized that the represented party was running late. I cannot in good faith recommend this attorney to anyone.

The Shotwell Law Group represented me regarding a DWI/DWLR. Mr. Shotwell handled my case with respect and informed me fully of what leagal issues I could be facing. When my court date came Mr. Shotwell has my cases thrown out of court. The best law firm I’ve ever used. He fights for his clients, and doesn’t just plea bargain/settle for something easy. Been having Mr. Shotwell for a Attorney since 1999. He is so genuine and shows so much concern. I have never been dissapointed but Wednesday was amazing he was able to get 4 felons dismissed even with me having a record. He is truly the best. Don't waste money on no one else, he's the man. Atty Shotwell did a great job answering our questions and helping us through a difficult process as well as representing us in court. Atty Spale was also there when we needed him. Would recommend both to anyone who needs great representation.

Never actually had his services, I am more disappointed with the reception. I called initially and asked a few questions regarding a possible misdemeanor charge and the receptionist was very detached, somewhat rude and uninterested. A week later, I decided to call the office again and there was no answer so I decided to leave a voicemail and left my information because I was interested in pursuing my case with Shotwell. I never received a call back and that was very disappointing.

Best lawyer in Wilmington. Got me out of my charges, not to expensive either. I definitely recommend shotwell to anyone.

No complaints. Promptly responded to my questions even through text. Did what I paid him to do. I obviously hope to never have to hire a lawyer again, but if I do, it will surely be Mr. Shotwell.
