Five Stars! It was a positive experience working with Ana-Cris Jimenez, Johanna Worth and the rest of the team at Hodges, Coxe and Potter. I am so glad they were on my side! Ana-Cris decided to take me on as a new client even though I had a potentially difficult, complex, interstate case and a somewhat limited budget to work with. I quickly found that she is very experienced, ethical and professional, but also caring and kind. She really listened to my situation and to all my questions and concerns. Ana-Cris was very patient with me as I brought my questions and concerns to her and as I took time to gather all the information that she needed for my case. Ana-Cris and Johanna regularly made themselves available to help me, even without a phone appointment. I am very grateful for this. Johanna Worth is an invaluable asset to their team and she really made a huge difference! They drafted multiple very good and very favorable agreements and worked effectively with the opposing counsel in order to find solutions that would work well for everyone, especially for my daughter. Ana-Cris was willing to explain reasons for things that would’ve otherwise been impossible for me to understand, especially because I'm not familiar with North Carolina. She always told me the truth about the possible negative impacts of the decisions I had made up to that point. She also helped me to clearly see all my actual options at any given time during the process, and she was realistic about all the possible outcomes and the overall timelines. Ana-Cris remained positive and steady even when the behavior I was experiencing from my duaghter’s mother often caused the case to feel shaky, volatile and impossible. I am extremely grateful for the experience and the hard work from Ana-Cris, Johanna and the rest of the team! Now I have my daughter home with me in Missouri!

If you want an attorney who never replies to your emails or phone calls then hire Ana Cristina Jimenez. If you want someone who works against you then hire this attorney. First phone call she sounded wonderful, but she will not go up against another attorney who has more experience.

She helped us to win our custody case she didn’t have a long time to read our super long case that has been going on for years but the day of court she knew it all !she really blew us away with her kindness and quick knowledge, she asked frequently of how we were or any updates even once the case was closed this is a lady who is passionate about the people she works for and it very much shows ❤️

Ana-Christina took my case on one week’s notice to the hearing and did a masterful job preparing our case. She got me the result I wanted. Throughout the process she showed genuine concern for my kids. I could tell she really saw us as people, not numbers. My kids’ lives are better and safer because of her. I give her my highest respect and an unequivocal recommendation.

gosh where do i start. was my attorney for a second. she did retrieve a support order that no one else could find as it pertained to my daughter and placement of my daughter. also was able to secure a temporary 2 week order to get my daughter away from the dangerous household she was in.. thats about all she did... beyond that she completely dropped the ball in my case. because when it came time for the hearing on that 2 week temp order case sept 4th I was led to believe from her that it involved my parents attempting to get temp custody of my daughter from her mother. turns out it was my name on the court docket and not my parents. I was not notified by court or any other authority figure of this hearing.....because of me not knowing about it and obviously not being there custody was immediately given over to my daughters mom.... as it pertains to the allegation that started this whole thing ..she has also made remarks that she believe my daughter was part of the allegation.....the investigation has since been closed and no wrongdoing was cited.. so she was wrong in her belief... was supposed to file a no contact order but did nothing after 2 weeks so we did it and she got upset saying we were trying to make her look bad. if she was doing her job to begin with we wouldnt have had to.. theres also aspects that she neglected to bring up on sept 4th that could have changed the direction of our case entirely.... I would avoid this lawyer as she gets cold feet if the opposing side gets a lawyer and doesnt come pro se....

Unequivocally one of the finest law firms in the greater Wilmington Area. They have been my go-to for residential and commercial real estate closings for many years. I have worked with Sam on various matters from setting up LLC's and operating agreements to Business Court representation and have found him to be one of the most competent and effective attorneys I've ever dealt with. I was referred to Sam Potter by a friend, and initially he had trouble responding to my questions and there were large gaps and delays in our conversations via email. I asked him if he was too busy for me due to his poor communication, and he assured me that he was not. We provided Mr. Potter with the requested information he needed, then he would tell us he was going to do something, and it would not happen. It was very frustrating that we would have to continually reach out to him to find out what was going on, only to find out that what he said he was going to do had not been done, and that his assistant was out, or someone had quit or whatever excuse he had for us on why things had not been done. It is unfortunate that I have to write this review, as I take no pleasure in it, but I do believe others should be made aware to prevent this from happening to them. He has not only cost us money, but delayed us more with his ineffective counsel and abundant excuses.

Residing in Florida, I hired Ms. Jimenez based upon client reviews, her educational background, and the many areas of law in which she practices. My case involves many issues and complications, and I continue to be impressed with her expertise, compassion, professionalism, and communication.

Ana-Cristina Jimenez is a great lawyer who fights for her clients and takes the initiative with their cases. She is an excellent communicator and did not require me to check in with her for progress or results. She would continually give me feedback and reach out to me, answering my questions before they even came up. I especially liked her professional but matter of fact attitude. In dealing with a tough case and a tough opposition, she wasn't afraid to dig her heels in and keep looking out for my family's best interests. I would absolutely recommend to her friends and colleagues for similar cases as she has surpassed my expectations.
