First, I respect anyone's profession especially when he/she has invested monies, time and energy to obtain the education in order to function within the given profession. I have a major issue when I am charge for Attorney Representation and get substantially less!! How do you have an attorney with advance education, you (plaintiff) basically obtains a large majority of the information requested, have evidence galore and the defendant with a GED, less than impressive communication skills and doesn't even know ONE of his children teacher's name is granted custody of a child?!? I won't even provide complete details of the end result but know all that should have been conveyed came to fruition. I relocated to the area my son was to ensure that he graduated despite the judge coming to the decision based on information from the GED parent and Licensed attorney that it was in the best interest of the minor. The key statement made by the defendant was that the male child needed a positive male role model and he was it. That right there opened the door for an attorney to poke holes all through the statement based on the evidence my attorney had at her disposal!!! I was instructed not to say a word during the proceedings in other that she could hear what was being conveyed and respond accordingly. I would not in good faith recommend Attorney Mortis. She wants the money and will be AGGRESSIVE in obtaining it but is very lackadaisical in the courtroom. I was taught to look the part; represent yourself. If I was nurse providing care to a patient I would be dressed in my fly fishing gear. If I was an attorney I would not represent myself nor my clients looking like an offspring of HellRaiser. I mean this respectful; DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANYONE THAT OPERATES IN A PERFUNCTORY STATE OF MIND!!!!
