I had a medical problem and had to have back surgery from an injury from 8 years ago the surgery was for narrowing of the spinal canal. I had to have 3 bones taken from my lower spine and nerves trimmed. When I tried to get Workmans Comp from Advance Auto they denied it saying I did not report the accident in a timely manner. I told them the injury was not responsible for the surgery the original and subsequent episodes was the cause. I called Daggett and Shuler TWICE trying to get them to help me with this case. The lawyer said no twice but he did say I could fill a form out and take them to court but I would more than 95% lose. I BELIEVED that I could win and took that chance. Three days before the case their lawyers called me and asked what it would take to settle out of court. I trying to be fair just asked for my medical bills be paid and back pay from day of surgery until I went back to work. I really got taken advantage of because my medical bills were more than I had figured by $2500.00 so I really didn't get a fair settlement but that was on me. If Daggett and Shuler had helped me I know I would have gotten more PLUS I would gotten Pain and Suffering which I didn't think about until someone mentioned it AFTER the settlement. So my recommendation to Daggett & Shuler is to LISTEN carefully to your prospective clients because they MAY have a case where you don't think they do. I DID!!!!
