A more modern and realistic approach to American justice without all the formalities and a chance to bring a positive prospective to an otherwise dreary task of jury duty.... and actually speedy!!!! What an amazing opportunity to be a part of this process.

First Court is a brilliant system that gives lawyers on opposing sides real-time feedback from carefully screened private jurors in a private trial. As a juror I heard both sides and was able to give feedback both lawyers what I thought about each witness and each argument. If you ever "get called" to serve as a First Court juror jump on it. Your life experience and thoughts matter, and you are well paid for your time and dedication.

I was recruited by First Court to do an online mock jury trial. It was listed as taking anywhere from 75 minutes up to 2 hours. It literally took me 6 1/2 hours to complete. There were also, I think 11 others doing the online jury trial. We each did it at our own convenience to be completed by a certain time. I spoke to the company when I was done and let them know how long it actually took me, considering they had only figured 2 hours. They should have done a test trial themselves beforehand to see how long it takes before putting it out there for a mock jury to do, guessing at the time, and being way off, which was a big inconvenience. A couple of weeks later the ad was again posted on Craigslist, and this time they listed the online jury trial as taking "2 hours give or take." I was appalled they would so blatantly misrepresent the time it takes after getting feedback from the first group, and now actually knowing the amount of time involved. Very unprofessional and disappointed in the company.
