To say Simon W. Johnson did an excellent job is an understatement. I retained Mr. Johnson's services for a very complicated child custody battle with the State. Simon Johnson was very responsive, available and dedicated to my case. Whenever I had questions he answered them, he also explained next steps in the process. He was honest, and very easy to to talk to. The greatest accomplishment in my now closed case to date is: Simon was able to keep a delicate 3 month old out of the foster care system! I would recommend this attorney to others. Although he is green, he is responsive, knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable. He will give you sound advice, and he is reasonable and realistic, regardless of what you may want to hear. He will look at you and tell you "This is not a slam dunk case." He is an attorney who will give you a realistic prognostication of your outcome. Simon is always available by text message too, which is huge when you are litigating a custody case. He responds extremely quickly. He is collaborative, which is powerful, especially when dealing with custody litigation. He was a key variable in dealing with our GAL... I truly believe if we hadn't had such a reasonable representative, the GAL would not have been as receptive to our concerns. Additionally (and perhaps most importantly), his billing is RESPONSIBLE. He will not bill you for a minute more than he has worked for you. If anything, he has underbilled my husband for his custody case. He will let you know ahead of time: this is what this strategy will cost. Simon is not a bull in a china shop, or a hammer. He's a staid, realistic attorney who truly cares about children and their parents. He is creative with his legal strategies, and realistic with his outcomes. He under-promises and over-delivers.
