James Grendell is a very impressive attorney. He is very thorough and absolutely wonderful to talk to. Very responsive and made sure that I clearly understood my options. Shakespeare was wrong about at least one attorney!!!!

I hired Doug to help look over and negotiate an important business contract. He did an excellent job of looking over everything carefully and he pointed out several potential pitfalls of the original contract wording. Doug did a great job of reviewing everything in a timely manner, and he was extremely reasonable with his time estimates and his budgeting. I've hired Linn & Grendell twice and was very impressed. I worked directly with Douglas Linn both times, but I'm sure his partner was also involved. Overall, they were very responsive, creative, well grounded in the law and worked personally with me, one-on-one to meet all my needs, all at a very fair cost. This is in stark contrast to my experiences with larger law firms where my work was not a priority, it was a cold impersonal relationship and often the work was delegated to a paralegal. My first experience with Linn & Grendell was as President of an HOA. They helped us re-write and file our By-Laws as our neighborhood converted from "Developer-led" to "Homeowner-led". All the complex language of our 25+ page By-Laws needed re-wording and Doug ensured this was done correctly and was clear without ambiguity. They even saved us money in the filing process by editing and reformatting the document since the filing cost was "per page". We were so pleased, we retained them as our HOA legal representative. As a retired P&G executive, I later hired them to do personal business contracts for me. Again, Douglas was extremely responsive, took the time to understand what I wanted in the contract and included additional points that I had not thought of to protect me under any circumstance. On a personal note, I found Douglas to be extremely intelligent, eclectic in his knowledge and skills and still very relatable. Linn & Grendell were excellent to work with. They helped me secure an overdue security deposit from a former landlord and, more importantly, gave me a better understanding of my rights and my legal options. They were very transparent and communicative. I highly recommend them!

Working with Linn & Grendell made a bad experience into a good one. I called on this law firm because I needed help in securing my security deposit back from my landlord. I worked specifically with Douglas Linn, but I know that James assisted when my case got complicated. Douglas was professional, timely, and kind. He always answered my emails and calls with my crazy questions, as I didn't understand what all was happening, and he always included me in the conversations. It was very refreshing to meet a lawyer that would take the time to communicate with me, and not dismiss me because I didn't understand the lawyer lingo. All in all, I was in great hands with Linn & Grendell, and would happily suggest them to a friend or use their services again if need-be.
