Was caught off guard when my ex wife pulled me into court over parenting time after 11 years of using the same schedule. Ex had also brought up false accusations in this report on why I could be deemed an unfit parent. I met with Mary and she made me feel extremely comfortable. I expressed that I could pay the retainer, but if this was a long and drawn out fight, I would not have the capital to pay long term. Mary understood my issues and worked with me to establish a plan to hire her services, but to only send email communications when absolutely necessary. This was crucial in helping me save money. Instead of sending constant updates and charging me, Mary would gather information and send information only when my input was needed, or letting me know appointment timelines. From our first consultation, Mary was able to look at the allegations and made me feel comfortable with the upcoming legal battle. Just because someone claims something, does not mean it is accepted in court. They needed to be proven. Meeting with the Guardian Ad Litem was a bit nerve wrecking as they hold a lot of sway in court, but Mary was able to explain the process and what is needed and expected. I can not claim to have everything I wanted to receive in court, as it should be fair for both parents, but I can state that everything worked out for the better. I feared losing my kids through the week, and gaining them on weekends, but Mary made me realize that this was a solid win, as I have entire days with my kids outside of school and homework. Sometimes a second opinion carries a lot of weight. I have already recommended Mary to a friend of mine, and would absolutely use her services again. (Although I hope I never need too) Lastly I will state, that when services were no longer needed, my remaining retainer was paid out exactly as described, on the following billing cycle, with no hassle or issue.

Mary Macpherson was assigned as a parenting coordinator to my ex and I as we were going thru our divorce. In the 6-month period she billed us over $14,0000. As a parenting coordinator she was to provide a monthly billing. I asked at least 5 times during the 1st 2 months if she could provide a detailed billing and she always responded that she did not have time to complete the billing. Then 3 months later she gives us the 1st bill and demands payment immediately and then another 3 months later the 2nd bill with full payment demand. I completely paid her invoices not realizing I was being billed for items that I should not have been billed for. Items such as a 5-hour conversation with the Parenting investigator and reports she supposedly wrote over course of many many hours. My ex did not pay her and disputed her bill and went to mediation and she reduced his bill. I was present for this mediation and told her, I would want my bill to be reduced as well if any concessions were made to my ex husbands bill. I could not stay for the full mediation and my attorney and I left early due to appointments. After mediation completed, she called me and said, she did not have the money at this time and would have to wait until my ex paid her so she could refund the extra that I paid her. Now a week later, she is fully paid from my ex but blatantly lies to me in an email stating she never promised to pay me. The issue is not for me about the money she won’t refund. The issue is the fact; this woman is a LIAR. If she can lie about something simple like this, who knows what other things she lies about in dealing with clients and running up faulty bills and not following parenting coordinator guidelines. At the end, I would not trust this attorney and hope that any court using her as a parenting coordinator or Guardian Ad Litem remove her from their roster.
