Through five years of fighting to make my voice heard, I am fortunate to have had Bill Hawal fighting with me and fighting for me. I trusted Bill throughout the process—and I’m glad that I did. Bill has proven to be very thorough and laser-focused on my case. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable malpractice lawyer. I was amazed by the amount of work that Bill, his partner Dennis Lansdowne, and his firm have done to prepare for my case. Their hard work, resiliency, and professionalism were unmatched. Bill and Dennis adapted to the many challenges and uncertainties of trial litigation and supported me at every step of the way. When our world had been completely turned upside down, many people felt badly, but only one man stood up and took action. This man was Jeremy Tor. He was a godsend for us in a time of great need. Many people will feel badly and empathize with you when something goes very wrong, but few will take action. Jeremy is a powerful advocate for what is right. His heart, mind, and soul are fully dedicated to families and individuals battling with unjust circumstances. He is a great man and a supremely talented lawyer. We are forever grateful to have had Jeremy represent us and we cannot praise him enough.

Two ordinary lives of retirement were upended by a traffic accident that left my husband with a traumatic brain injury. Few are prepared for the decisions that need to be made when tragedy strikes, but my girls and I knew that, after the medical decisions were determined, choosing a personal injury attorney needed to be a priority. We turned to a family friend who is a labor attorney and she asked peers at her firm for recommendations for us. One firm, Spangenberg Shibley & Liber LLP was cited over and over. And it was our understanding that Dennis R. Lansdowne was named by every respondent. Dennis offered to meet with us at the hospital and assured us that, if for any reason our styles and personalities didn’t mesh, that was perfectly reasonable to him and we’d part ways. There was no pressure, no hard sell- nothing like we were receiving in the mail every day from attorneys who’d acquired our information from a police report. He explained how the process worked, how long it might take, how fees are structured and what our responsibilities would be. Through the almost two years of our relationship, we grew to know Dennis better and found that our instincts about him were correct and justified. He kept in touch, checked in to ask about my husband’s condition and shared the progress in the case.He was honest- when I said I just wanted my ordinary life back, he said he couldn’t deliver that but was doing his best to make it better. He patiently endured several angry emails from my brain- injured husband and counseled me on the boundaries of acceptable behaviors from a person who’d been so severely hurt. And yes, sometimes it was humor that kept us afloat. My simple words can never do justice to the amount of support Dennis gave to our family. If you’re reading this, perhaps you need his help- I hope not- and be assured that Dennis will give you his best because he is smart, he is experienced and most important, he has the best of intentions and the kindest of souls. Our family hasn’t found our way back to our ordinary lives but things are certainly better. Without question or regret, we were led to an excellent choice and will be forever thankful that we followed Dennis Lansdowne down that particular fork in the road.

With the help of Scott and his staff I just finished what has to be one of the worst divorces possible. I believe I received the best results possible given my situation using this firm. I fired my first attorney for poor communication and "0" results and then learned about Scott through 3 good friends that were very pleased with Scott and the results from their divorces. I'm a small town USA, Ohio guy and to be honest figured I couldn't afford this big city TOP NOTCH FIRM. I was wrong, ended up i couldn't afford not to use Scott. I would recommend Scott to anybody looking for a great divorce attorney. I'm giving Scott 5 stars because that is my highest choice. I'm going with 10 stars if you've read my review to this point. Scott was there for me with everything I needed going through my divorce, and well even after when I needed him. He was the only reason I survived everything!!

After the loss of my husband, my family and I found such care and support from Dennis Lansdowne and this firm. I would highly recommend Scott not only for his legal expertise in domestic court but because he really does care about what happens to you and your family. I had a case that was dragged out by my ex and he was there every step of the way. He listened to my concerns and always communicated ahead of time what I should expect.

This attorney was a very poor communicator - ignoring numerous emails and questions and very often ignoring requests for a short phone call. When he did respond it was short and incomplete. He pushed much of his communication to his associate attorney.

Professional and efficient, Aaron and the rest of the team at Caravona and Berg provided us with excellent guidance and ultimately, winning closure to our legal matter.
