I was looking for a lawyer to help me and my husband our with adjustment of status and immigration based on marriage. I used to live in NJ and I spoke to a couple of lawyers there whose fees were really high. Fortunately for me, I moved to Cleveland and found JP Sarmiento. Sarmiento Law Firm has been an invaluable help to my wife and I throughout her immigration process. The thing that stuck out to me the most was the haste at which they responded to every and any question that I had. If I sent them an email full of questions, they'd get back to me often in less than an hour with answers. I greatly appreciated the free consultation about our unusual situation, and did not hesitate to hire them to represent us and handle our case once we began regular correspondence. They always seemed to know what to do, and they had a great deal of experience with all of the situational questions that I had. The only problem that I had with this otherwise stellar firm was that our case received 2 requests for evidence due to insufficient documentation given. This delayed our case for about 3 months. I would have expected that an experienced firm should have known that some of the documents that we sent them weren't acceptable, or that we should have included more evidence of the relationship between my wife and I. I was very disappointed that we got these delays, and my wife and I would really love to have those 3 months back. But aside from this, the firm was everything I could have hoped for. They were quick to respond, always gave relevant and helpful information, knew what they were doing, and very professional. Thanks to JP and Arty, my wife and I were approved at our visa interview 2 days ago, after about a year and a half of waiting to get to this point. I am forever grateful for the hard work that the team at Sarmiento Immigration Law Firm did in helping me to win asylum in the United States. I am very happy that I chose this law firm to represent me. Mr. Sarmiento gave me a free 60 minute consultation (which is unheard of with most attorneys). The payment plan was attractive as I was unable to pay the full cost at once. They did a great job in preparing my case and Mr. Glen Yu prepared me for my interview. However, I opted not to be accompanied to the asylum interview because of the additional expense and unfortunately my case was referred to the immigration court. I opted to have the Sarmiento Immigration Law Firm represent me before the immigration court. I was offered another payment plan which also included travel expenses. There were times when I was unable to pay on time and all I had to do was email the accounting department and they were very understanding. I had to move to another state and they quickly filed for my change of venue which was granted. I was represented by phone at my master calendar hearing at which point I was schedule for my individual hearing. Mr. Yu prepared me for my individual hearing and also accompanied me to the immigration court. I was granted asylum with the outstanding help of the Sarmiento team.
