Robin is extremely lazy and unprofessional. Her priority isn't helping your child and/or family. It's making sure she gets paid. She is constantly late, distracted during client meetings, makes unprofessional remarks and doesn't communicate with her clients effectively. Please do not hire her.

She is amazing at her job and will go to bat for anyone. Y’all bums trying to get a LAWYER to do work for FREE and getting mad is hysterical. Come to my job and ask for free service, good luck. She’s the best around. Give her a shot!!!

I wish, that as attorneys, this site would allow us to comment on comments. I have practiced law for 35 years and have had hundreds, maybe thousands of clients who are happy with my services and who come back and send referrals to me. There are only 3 negative reviews here and I know who each one of them is. None of them wanted to pay and all of them owed money to me, so I had to withdraw from their cases. They were fine as long as I was representing them for free. When I asked for my overdue fees to be paid, they did not pay. I cannot work for free. As I stated, I have had hundreds of happy clients. I have a reputation of being tough in court and I always fight. It took me many years to be able to withdraw in cases where I wasn't being paid and clients had mounting bills. I never wanted to hurt anyone and I always wanted to help, regardless. Many of us attorneys feel the same way even in spite of clients who don't pay or who have unrealistic expectations. As for "Eddie" he didn't tell you that he has two minor children that he doesn't have to pay child support for because of me. He also didn't tell you that he doesn't have to pay spousal support in a situation where he normally would have to, because of me and that I had to beg him to be paid the entire time that I represented him. It was awful. "Tanya" didn't tell you that she was not my client and that her boyfriend, who was trying to get custody, owed me big sums of money for a long period of time and that I withdrew before a trial was scheduled because they still had a balance due. She also didn't tell you that I still helped him after I withdrew. The other review didn't mention that she owed me money and when I withdrew as counsel, she filed a motion with the court asking the court to make me stay on the case to help her, stating that she knew she owed money but she didn't know when she could pay me. She also didn't reveal that I created legal documents for her and helped her file pleadings, at no cost, when she was representing herself. That was many months before she retained me and just because I was trying to help her. I practice law as a job. I am not here to offer free services. I have bills to pay and a child to support. I am tired of these online sites that allow people to voice their opinions, without verifying the facts and without allowing the attorney to respond. I hope that you will leave this up. There are two sides to every story. I am and have always been an attorney who cares. I am and have always been an attorney who fights hard for people. I have allowed myself to be used by these people and others, just because I had a heart for them and wanted to help. They should be ashamed of their negative comments and the half truths and lies that they have told.

I wish I would have read this website before hiring this attorney. Robin took close to $4,000 demanded more money $1500 to complete my case, when she postponed it once and late to court when she did show up. Charge $500 to travel to court which she was late. Offer no help in my divorce case. I now have to find another divorce attorney and pay for work that she did not complete. She charge for every phone calls and emails, and yes I did all the paper work that had to be filed. There is so much more I could say about this case, however I will leave it to God! I'm a christian I do forgive her may god bless her help her to learn how treat people.

Aaron Kenter is a professional, hard working, hard fighting, take-no-prisoners attorney that I have had the honor to represent me. I desperately needed help with my child custody case. My previous attorney screwed my case up something horrible, was weak, and not very experienced with contested custody cases, or tough opposing lawyers and magistrates. My previous attorney was a very, very nice guy..the HELL with that!!!!! I needed a lawyer who was smart, fearless, knowledgeable and experienced with the heart of a tiger shark! Aaron Kenter (and his supervisor Tony Greco) are textbook definitions of a phenomenal, dedicated attorneys who get the job done! Because of these two gentlemen... They won my case, I have my son, I have peace of mind. and they taught my ex a lesson she will never forget! If you ever need lawyers who will fight like hell on your side, make you laugh when you think there is no hope in the world of you winning, and have a long proven track record of winning tough cases... look no further then this very talented attorney! Thank you so much Aaron for all your hard work and phenomenal expertise!

Our case came at a time when we were looking for answers for the best way to handle a less than supportive environment for my daughter. This office and Aaron in particular was honest with us about our case. He supported me through a difficult time and showed me direction when I needed it. He was always available day or night to help, Aaron is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced attorney in all areas of the domestic/family law area. In a practice area that can be very emotional and antagonistic, Aaron remains calm with his effective focus on the factual and legal issues. Aaron remains very caring about his clients and is a professionally relentless advocate on their behalf. I could not have gotten through this without him and his determination.

I have had the pleasure of having Alex twice. Once for my gf for a DUI. He let us know what was going on through the whole thing. Helped get her license back ASAP. He got all other charges dismissed. Then I had to use him for my case driving under suspension. He helped me get driving priveldges then got all other charges dismissed. And only chsrged with no operator license. Very small fine. My gf and I are very pleased with him and would recommend him to everybody we know. His fees are reasonable and he will work with on them. He answers calls and texts within the hour.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Columbus, Ohio?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
