Choosing Hoffman Law (Eric) was one of the best decisions I have made. Eric and Jordan were very professional, understanding, timely, and sympathetic toward my situation. I got charged with DV and Assault against a family which was actually self defense, as well as lied upon for a violation of protection order. I called Hoffman Law and Eric jumped right into action and listened to my side of the story as well as gathered up all the evidence that the county court, Law Enforcement, and court officials were refusing to provide to me. Eric was able to get the TPO set aside with the information that was provided to him and during the first court hearing he was able to get the court to agree to a plea deal that I perfectly agreed with. Per that agreement I had to complete some programming and all charges would be dropped. In comes the good part, 60 days later per the agreement we return to court and there is a new prosecutor sitting in for the original that is on vacation. Mind you, I have spoken to no one besides Eric and have completed all requirements and then some, that were asked of me. This new prosecutor has already set new guidelines, changed my charges back to M4's, added extra programming, and probation. Attempting to completely change my previous deal with the court and original prosecutor, stating the wording of the deal was unclear and he did not agree with it. I stood my ground and said that we need to keep the original deal and that I did not agree to any of the new terms even with the treat of going to trial. Eric went back in and fought for me and my rights reiterating that I had already completed beyond what the court had asked and that the previous agreed upon plea deal needed to be upheld. After a short phone call to the original prosecutor (still on vacation), We Won and the original deal was upheld and all charges dropped. Finally when given the final paperwork the verbiage did not match up to what they had told us and Eric caught it and demanded that it be corrected and after some delays attempted by the prosecutor Eric was able to get that corrected as well. I highly recommend Hoffman Law to anyone that is having legal issues or needs family proceedings. You can definitely put your trust into these Hoffman Law working hard for you and your rights.
