I will highly Recommended John he get the job done and you’ll not be unsatisfied with him.

I called John late in the evening not really knowing how to proceed with my legal issues. He was very friendly and direct about what I was up against and what steps were needed to proceed successfully. I knew at that point I wanted to retain his services. He was clear about his fees upfront which he worked with me by setting up a payment plan. He's very knowledgeable of the law and explaining anything that wasn't clear to me. He made me very confident with the best way to approach my case at hand for a great outcome. He made sure that I didnt have any questions or reservations about my options which lead us to going to trial in which John Rutan was well prepared and performed well beyond my expectations. I am pleased with the outcome of our case and John made me feel as if it was a team effort. He was definitely great partner to have on my side for something has serious as what I had to go through. I would highly recommend his legal services.

John Rutan accepted my boyfriend’s case after two different lawyers refused the case. The two prior lawyers basically said that my boyfriend had no chance and that the Cambridge (Ohio) Municipal court was tough, which it is. John was very clear from the beginning that it was pretty much a gamble, but at the same time said that IF anyone could take care of the case my boyfriend had, it would be him. (We really did have more of a chance to lose than win though.) The best part is that he was honest and did say we could very well come out on the losing side. Also that if we did not want to move forward or think about the possibility of losing a chunk of money, he advised that it was up to us to take that risk and gave his sincere and honest opinion about everything. There was no pressure whatsoever as you typically have during consultations in general. What worked best for all of us (my boyfriend, the lawyer and I) is that we all worked together and always tried to make sure we were on the same page. We did our best on our part to help make sure we did everything we could too. If you want your case won, you have to work hard to get there as well. He was very easy to get ahold of, however, due to my boyfriend and I being super paranoid about the case since it was a hard one, we did try to over communicate and got a little anxious. If you are like that too, just remember that lawyers have lives too. Haha! We left it in John’s hands until it was around court time and we were nervous and hesitant up until that point. Obviously, because court nerves were setting in! The day before court we all spoke again, he told us the game plan and was very clear and up front about everything yet again. We listened and my boyfriend did exactly what he told him to do without question (because obviously John is a lawyer and knows how to do his job!) Again, the case was a gamble. We knew it could either go very bad or very well and we would not have put the blame on the lawyer if it went the bad way. But he pulled through and we won the case! Yay! A lot of people read these reviews before selecting the right lawyer to take their case. I am one of them. I noticed the last review (it stood out to me) was about him being disrespectful to women. That is a joke. There wasn’t even an ounce of disrespect towards me as a woman and I am the one who mainly handled everything and spoke to him. Just throwing that out there. John has a very outgoing and friendly personality, a little funny, and A LOT of energy. At the same time he is one of those “get down to business” lawyers and don’t play around and waste time. Give him the case, chill out, and let him do his job. It works very, very well for him, and we are super happy we went with our instinct and got a fantastic lawyer to work a hard case after two other lawyers refused it. That says a lot! My boyfriend was scared going into court, but was put as ease. He did say it was kind of like being in a movie though with him.😄 So at this point, you definitely know both my boyfriend and I would recommend John Rutan in a heart beat. And John, if you read your reviews, thanks again for everything!

He was great. He represented his client so well I won my case over him. I’m sure he put in his clients head he would win, knowing with his background it would never happen. I will say he is very kind. But inconsistent during court. He is passionate about his work an people.
