I'll admit that I'd heard horror stories about court-appointed defenders, but I am very happy to say Joe Edwards proved that's just what those are: stories. He, along with Ms. Emily Patrick, another attorney that works with him, fought for me tooth and nail every step of the way, from the moment they took my case up until the end of the trial. I can honestly, and somewhat dramatically say, they saved my life by representing me against an incredibly serious charge. I can't even begin to know how to truly thank them both for what they did for me. Joe is an incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and experienced force in and out of the court, and Emily is incredibly kind and was very good at talking about and explaining various aspects of my case and what was happening during the actual trial. Anyone who is looking for an attorney or is worried about being assigned Joe as a court-appointed defender, rest easy, because you'll have the greatest defense team you can find fighting for you.

I gave this review 1 star for posting purposes only. Mr. Edwards initially gives off the impression that he always puts forth his best efforts to defend his clients. Well it's all a sham! Once he received the retainer, All bets where off! His performance as a defense attorney falls nothing short of being unethical. Mr. Edwards demonstrated a level of professionalism that should be categorized as the worst ever. He never acted in good faith. Never attempted to establish a clear line of communication with the client. The client made several failed attempts to make contact with Mr. Edwards to talk about the case in hopes of working on his defense. All with the exception of the few times that Mr. Edwards did answer the phone, he went on a rants, exhibiting rude and disrespectful behavior. Yelling and using profanity with comments like "I know these things that's why I make the big bucks".... Do not believe those 5 star comments, I personally witnessed his gross behavior which leads me to 100 percent believe that those reviews are fixed.

I was introduced to Joe through a co-worker about 11-12 years ago when I needed help suing an ex over a car he totaled. I recently needed his help again, this time I managed to get myself into a bit of trouble, being charged with a DUI. Having Joe represent me for my DUI case saved me from having additional charges added and I was able to walk away with minimum penalties. Thanks again Joe!!

He is well versed in State and Federal appeals law and is courteous, prompt and always very helpful when I need answers concerning the laws in the State of Ohio or Federal questions. He has handled cases for me based on my professional opinion of the clients Innocence. And I trust him with my clients lives. I highly recommend Mr. Edwards and stake my reputation on his work.

Mr Joe Edwards is currently representing my fiancé and he’s been absolutely unprofessional. He has pushed my fiancé court date back twice and we had to find out through the clerk of court. He doesn’t communicate well he has blocked my cell phone number. He was paid in full ($4000.00) and he has done absolutely nothing but cause us stress and confusion. We hired Mr Edwards believing he would represent my fiancé to the best of his ability, all he has done is made us regret ever contacting him.

Mr. Edwards has been nothing but professional and kind. He does truly care about your case. He is someone you want that will fight for your best interests. He will speak the truth, and he will go and fight for you in court. He is someone you want in your corner.
