We came to H.T. with a deep concern that we had inadvertently not paid our business taxes appropriately over a period of years. H.T. listened carefully and empathetically as we told him our story. He then researched carefully, reviewing our past tax returns and speaking with experienced colleagues to determine whether or not we had done our due diligence. In the end, he was able to assure us that we had done everything appropriately, relieving us of the great burden we had carried for a long while. We are so thankful for H.T.’s help and expertise; we cannot recommend him highly enough!

Mr. Astrov has been my lawyer for several years, and has worked hard on behalf of my family to get us out from under a mountain of IRS back taxes. He is, without doubt, the person who has saved us. He’s a wonderful combination of professional, courteous, and understanding. He is extremely knowledgeable about tax law, and he always takes the time to explain things in our case. I was referred to HT Astrov in late 2017 by my primary business attorney to discuss an IRS/US Tax Court matter and gain specific advice related to my situation. I found HT very patient and understanding of my situation and he readily offered sound advice that set my course of action. I am writing this review about 15 months after the consultation now that my "matter" is settled with the IRS/US Tax Court. Everything that HT suggested worked out in my favor with the US Tax court which reduced my stress, limited my financial exposure and resulted in less taxes being paid than what the IRS was trying to collect. I am very appreciative of his professional and excellent work on my behalf.

Between my work and the FTB I was going crazy! H.T. was so helpful and so understanding. It is never easy dealing with the government and he went above and beyond for me. I really appreciate everything he did for me. I would recommend him and would go back to him again if I need more help for my tax issues.

I hired HT last year on a tax matter that freaked me out after being an expat most of my adult life and I was so worried. HT helped me even if I am on the other side of the world and was very super patient with me and helped solve the matter so I can sleep at night and not worry about the tax authorities. Who wants to be in trouble with them?! I would highly recommend him and his associates (tax experts that he recommended). It was so well worth it. Finding a good tax attorney online is not easy and I was very adamant but I got lucky. I will not hesitate to recommend him or use his services again. He was not into gouging people's fears and was reasonable and a kind person. We should have more lawyers like him.

When it came to working with me, he was firm, incredibly responsive, candid, honest, patient, and he was compassionate. Truly compassionate. He made a stressful, frightening situation manageable by explaining the facts and options in as much detail as I requested (and I requested A LOT o detail) without candy coating. I went from being managed by the situation to managing the situation. I give HT the highest recommendation, without reservation. My various jobs have put he in contact with hundreds of lawyers over the years. HT is easily among the top 2% of lawyers have worked with in my 20+ career.
