Michelle represented me in a very nasty custody case. At times, I was a mess and at the lowest spots in life. Michelle always knew exactly where I was emotionally and was so understanding. she was the only reason I was able to relax. I never doubted her advice and knew I was in the best of hands. She was straight forward and explained the plan all the way through the case. I was blown away by her knowledge and toughness in the court room. She will not be bullied around and in my opinion, opposing counsel will not sneak anything by her. She was extremely observant and 10 steps ahead of opposing counsel. She’s among the most brilliant minds I’ve encountered in life. She protected my family in ways I couldn’t have expected. Michelle deserves much more than I paid. The work she did in my case was outstanding!

I had very little money to afford a lawyer, I felt as if Michelle did not give me much advice or care much for my case. I did not do much research prior to hiring her and I wish I would have. I wasted quite a bit of money with nothing to show for it. During our first hearing she sat and socialized with the opposing party while I sat nervous, uncomfortable and alone a few seats down. I am a very social person and understand they maybe friends but while I was paying for her services I would have preferred for her to have not been socializing with my ex and his lawyers. I ended up discontinuing my services with her and am now looking for a more professional, experienced counsel.

Michele was my attorney during a very heated custody battle. During our meetings when I would be emotional and nervous she was always extremely professional and knowledgeable about what could and could not happen, what I should expect in court, and what my realistic expectations should be throughout the process. I used Michelle to help me with a shared parenting agreement. She was always prompt to answer my questions and return calls. She also got a fair shared parenting plan for me (my almost exact terms to be precise) ...which can be hard to for an unmarried father. What I liked most was the fact that she took time to hear my specific situation and didn't try to push a cookie cutter agreement on me. Highly recommend.

Ms. Askins was patient enough to explain in detail the process and expectations of my case. My particular case was one that was thrown into my lap. She was able to drop everthing to be at my side with less than 24 hours notice! Her fees are clear cut and reasonable. In addition, she doesn't overprice, and refunds what is not used. Though this is the way I think most attorney's should bill, many I have dealt with in the past have not. Therefore, I would state that she is an honorable lawyer worth hiring again! All details were itemized, and I was consistently informed of how my money was being used in my case, as well as what information was being discussed. She was also calming and reassuring to have in my defense. Her knowledge and professional manners were able to win my case. I have already recommended her to others, and I will do so again!
