My experience has been NOTHING BUT stressful and long.
We waited TWO WHOLE YEARS before signing our paperwork to receive our checks. Unfortunately, KNR is taking over half of our money even though they are terrible at communicating, give out false information, and didn’t listen to us from the beginning. It took them a year just to get the police report from my accident, or at least when we were informed “we just received your police reports.”
After we signed our paperwork (two years after the accident) we were informed that it shouldn’t take longer than 60 days to receive our payout. As the 60 days neared its end, we called a few times to see what was going on with our case before ever receiving a phone call back. The phone call we finally received was informing us that they ran into issues but sure enough they were in contact with the adjuster that “was on vacation and will be back by next week to confirm and send out the check,” and it shouldn’t be more than a couple of weeks until we received the payout.
Fast forward a few weeks and we call back in for another update. When we finally were able to speak to someone again, we were informed “apparently this adjuster only does electronic payments so we sent a request to get your pay, so it should only be a couple of more weeks.”
Another couple of weeks go by and we call yet again for another update when we are told “they haven’t accepted our request for an electronic payment but sent out a paper check.”
Fast forward another month until we call back in for another update to which we were told “I’m in contact with the adjuster, we should have confirmation of a mailed check very soon, & you should have your payout by the middle of November.”
Now it’s mid November and we call for another update to be told “the adjuster just sent out the check on the 16th. Will call when it’s ready.”
So they’ve supposedly been in contact with this adjuster for over 3 months (minimum) and the check is just being sent out? They don’t call you to update you, they just stress you out and don’t return your calls for WEEKS.
We were originally told this shouldn’t take more than 60 days which we had no problem with. A few bumps in the road? Ok, that’s fine, but it’s been almost 6 months now after waiting for 2 whole years. It’s becoming ridiculous, especially when over half of our payout is going towards KNR. I’m not exactly sure what makes them believe they deserve to be paid out so much for doing such little work, having poor communication, and showing poor professional and business practices.
We just want to be done with this (just like we were 6 months ago, just like we were almost 2 years ago), and will never recommend KNR again as they have done nothing to make this process easy, quick, or positive in any way.
I am so frustrated and disappointed in this entire experience and the employees I have dealt with.
