Our mentally ill adult son was charged with a second degree felony. When I reached out online looking for a lawyer to deal with this complicated case, Darren’s firm reached out to me within an hour and said they could help. After a consultation with Darren, we felt confident that he could work on our son’s behalf for a NGRI (not guilty by reason of insanity) plea. We were told we could contact him anytime and had direct access to him through his cell phone as well as through email. When we learned that a (factually innocent) family member had an arrest warrant issued for him, Darren was the first person I thought to call. Darren worked with us, reassured us, and decimated the prosecution's case in court. There is no doubt in my mind that, had my family member had an overworked public defender, he would have ended up taking a plea and going to prison as an innocent man.
