Would not hire!! Emily did not disclose until at least three months into my case with MCCS for custody of my 18 month old grandson that she was in the process of becoming a MCCS foster parent---apparently conflict of interest is not worth reveling to a client. I was billed for actions she took two days after I fired her. And I did fire her after she told me--just before a court hearing while we were outside the court room--that she couldn't get me custody but would try to get me visitation rights--which I already had. What a waste of $2500 and six months when I could have been working with an attorney not in cahoots with MCCS. In my opinion not a good attorney .

The lady woul not speak in court and then inflated her fee

An absolute stellar individual. Spent an hour with me discussing a case he was not yet hired for. I would not hesitate to recommend Robert 4 defense in any situation. I've never felt more comfortable discussing the details of my situation with anyone. This is how representation should always feel. Without question who I would go to in any criminal defense situation.

Excellent expert help handling my dissolution. We were in the courtroom less than ten minutes and done - it was practically a drive-thru ! Don't bother going to a website that promises to deliver all of the needed paperwork. Hiring a legal mind right at the start is easier and less stressful than finding out the county court can't use most of the paperwork I had purchased and filled out on-line. Lesson learned! Even though my ex-wife and I pretty much had agreed on most of the details, Emily was a great help in making a painful process less stressful. Thank you SO much! I will not hesitate to hire her legal expertise again.

We did not hire Travis Kane for our son's case but we did meet with him to discuss the details and he met with our son. He gave my husband a very uneasy feeling which is why we ended up going a different direction. What concerned us was that there was another court date set for two weeks and he lead us to believe that there would be no communication between himself, the prosecutors, the judge or anyone else until the day of court and that made us concerned. Especially when another lawyer said he would be communicating once we retained him. Also the other lawyer we spoke with had never heard of Mr. Kane, which pretty much set in stone that we would not be hiring him. Our son's life is on the line and we needed someone who knew our goals and could work to get us there as much as possible and not just saying sorry and collecting our money on the way out the door. My husband said there was just no fire or passion behind him when he spoke and just didn't make it feel personable, he had told our son, in a separate meeting, the exact same stories he had told us, which I'm sure all lawyers give examples of cases and have a "speech" that they say to clients. We just heard what could happen, but we didn't hear what he could possibly do for us. Either way I don't have anything bad to say about him, just sharing our experience and why we decided to go another direction. Either way we appreciate his time and what he told us.
