Anthony Vannoy represented my fiancé in a criminal trial in 2006 and was paid $27,000 and because of his ineffective assistance of counsel and working with the prosecution team my fiancé was sentenced to 51 years to life. Anthony Vannoy accepted a Nolle Prosequi entry dismissing charge 1 of the indictment ( the complete reason my fiance was served a search and arrest warrant) on the first day of his trial which affected their total defense strategy and Vannoy did not request a continuance or review of the Nolle Prosequi which by law RC 2941.33 must be held in an open court and show good cause for the dismissal of the charge which was never done. Vannoy advised my fiancé that he would just free style the case which ultimately caused an innocent man to be sentenced to life in prison. Anthony Vannoy deliberately filed all of my fiancé's motions late including his frank's motion and appeal. How does an attorney file an appeal motion late of all motions? My fiancé has never been granted an appeal in his case due to Anthony Vannoy ineffective assistance of counsel. Anthony Vannoy to this day has not done anything to rectify his wrong doing, beside write a sworn affidavit regarding his ineffective assistance of counsel. we are still fighting and seeking remedies to his ineffective assistance of counsel 17 years later.
