After about 14 years of devotion, high performance, working weekends, holidays and while on vacation, I fell seriously ill and required multiple major surgeries and procedures. When I was “healthy” and able to go above & beyond my employer’s expectations, all was good. When my serious, permanently disabiling & excruciating pain began, my employer did not support or help me with ADA Accommodations as expected. It became clear that I needed a lawyer but not just any lawyer...I wanted experience, aggressive when needed, someone not afraid to fight for what was right, someone who knew employment law & the ADA...someone who would listen. I researched the internet, read client reviews and I found the perfect attorney that I needed at that time. It was Attorney Judith Galeano. My husband & I met with her and we were overwhelmed by how prepared she was, her wealth of knowledge, providing extremely helpful advice, setting realistic expectations. Attorney Galeano is a top-notch attorney who is not afraid to litigate if your case merits it. She will fight for you where others may have failed you.

We had the opportunity to work with Mr. Mowery recently and the experience was excellent. Professional, thorough and we felt like a priority. Our outcome was positive and we are grateful for the help the firm provided.

In my initial consultation with Troy, he gave me good indications that my case was strong, simple and straightforward. Based on the information he provided and those I read on his website, I was under the impression that his firm has previously handled cases similar to mine. I felt confident that my case would not be a novel undertaking for the firm. Once I signed the fee agreement, I never once again met or spoke with Troy. At the start of my case, I found out that the attorney assigned to me had quit and I was told the new person handling my case would be “J” (name withheld), who I later found out was a law clerk (but billed as attorney, even though he was licensed in another state at that time), and his boss, Andew Gerling, who had to sign off on everything. Maybe that’s why my first two billing statements show an inordinate amount of time (about 24+ hours) spent on the (enumerated) complaint filed with the court, not to mention the repeated review or meeting with senior or supervising attorneys regarding my case. I communicated mostly with “J” throughout my case, who was nice and personable, and I spoke with Andrew twice, mostly about billing issues and my concern that I would not fully recover my loss because of the mounting legal expenses. First call, he was very reassuring. Second time, he went back on his assurances as I understood them and was pretty rude, in my opinion. In the end, the total legal bill was about 70% of the settlement award. After negotiating with the firm, they discounted their fees so I would get 40%. I think it is disingenuous to say that I got 100% of the award just because the settlement amount was split into two payments: one check was made out to me and the other was paid to Troy’s firm. I understand that law firms have to earn money. There are fees associated with all the services they provide. I do not begrudge them that and they did work on my case. However, I feel like they could have accomplished the work needed with less hours. And it really didn’t reassure me when I saw the opposing counsel had even questioned the reasonableness of their fees in their court filings. Maybe this was just a trial tactic from the other side, but it reinforced my concerns. Overall, it was a very stressful experience for me to worry constantly whether I would be worse off than when I started and I felt strongly enough to leave this review based on my actual experience, how I felt I was treated, and what I know to be true for my case. Best of luck to you too

Judy Galeano represented us in two custody cases that were seven years apart. In both instances, we also talked to other respected attorneys to get their opinion of our case. In each circumstance, the other attorneys strongly recommended we drop our (unwinnable) case and take a different approach. While Judy made no promises, her thoroughness, attention to detail, and determination resulted in us winning both cases. We have the utmost respect for her knowledge and professionalism, and highly recommend her.

Highly recommended. MYG led me through a complicated contract issue that ended with a positive result. Judy was knowledgeable, passionate and a great negotiator; and once we made it to the court room, I was happy to have Judy sitting on my side and not the other.

I recently turned to this firm in an effort to resolve a paternity situation I found myself I after being referred by a family friend. After first meeting with Mr. Mowery and his assistant Mr. Huffman, I felt confident I was in good hands going forward. This changed as we progressed forward in the situation. I communicated primarily with Mr. Huffman as his hourly rate was far less than Mr. Mowery. However at times I would not hear from Mr. Huffman for days, and at one point it was a week. I called in to be told that he was out of the office for a few weeks. However, I was not informed this would be the case, nor was there any kind of email hold explaining this. About a month later, contact ceased once again and I called to find out that Mr. Huffman was not longer with the firm. Again, I wasn't informed of this and I then began to see I wasn't dealing with the most professional firm. My situation was resolved on 02/01/2017. I assumed if I owed any payments they would have notified me right away, as professionally it's not the right thing to do to just let a balance sit for months before informing your client of it. However, as I write this on 04/15/2017 (over two months after my resolution) I just received a bill with a balance of over $700 (that's WAY more than the quality of service I received...) on it. This is absolutely ridiculous. I recommend you find a firm that does the right thing won't hide a rather high balance from you before dropping it on you months later.

So glad I had Judy and her team to help me sort through the "business" of a broken marriage when your heart won't let you process through. Compassionate advocates for me and my boys.

I had high expectations for Mowery Youell & Galeano following the recommendations of several legal advocacy groups; however, none were ever met satisfactorily after eight disappointing and frustrating months — and thousands of dollars spent — without a single issue resolved successfully; thus, I was thoroughly dissatisfied as a client and would not recommend them to anyone. Therefore, I decided it was in my best interest to move in another direction with a new attorney due to a complete lack of results. In summary, I no longer had confidence that this firm could effectively resolve my legal issues and produce meaningful and measurable results, meet expectations, or provide a favorable outcome regarding my legal problems. Lastly, their billing and accounting system is slow, antiquated, often unresponsive, the statements are difficult to understand, full of billing inaccuracies, and frequently in arrears by several months, if not lost altogether. In fact, I still have not received my final accounting statement and a remittance refund check for the unused portion of my retainer. Overall, a poor, exasperating, and dissatisfying experience; too many unfulfilled promises and too much lip service without any positive results.
