This place was a mess when I walked in. Got charged at the attorney's rate not the legal aid's rate, who wasted over an hour of my time and money telling me about her life. I was in an abusive situation, but it was not used in my case, she did not explain options, and even overlooked so many details for my case, including assets that I could have used as leverage. Took my money and then some. My next lawyer really made it clear to me how much I was taken, how little the lawyer did for me, how unprofessional they were.

Susan and her team are the best attorney team i can imagine. She us so knowledgeable about the law and real life including her nursing background. She was honest and gave me real advice, not just what I wanted to hear. Her guidance enabled me to make good choices and we finished ahead. Nothing can ever erase harm done, but Susan and her team allow you to get the help you need to deal with it.

I just want to say a special things to Susan Lax and her staff for a wonderful job that they did help me get through my divorce. Susan and her staff are loving, caring people that always make you feel welcome when you come into the office. I would highly recommend Susan to anyone as a lawyer.

I hired Ms Lax Several months after I was injured in an auto accident in July 2018. The other driver ran a stop sign and was clearly at fault. I provided all documents as she requested. Every month or two I followed up to find out status of the case. I saw a chiropractor for three or four months and showed improvement but not 100%. After doctor release in November, I continued stay in touch with ms Lax. She continued to respond ‘it’s coming along’ and/ or the other side doesn’t own liability. Long story short, case was never really worked and I got a call one week before the statue of limitations was up(2 yrs. later) saying She’s turning file over to Mr. Furtado as he’s a trial lawyer. She said they have to file suit and they wanted $325 from me to file. I paid her. Me Furtado filed incorrectly(not sure he’s still licensed). He stated the defendant as the claimant The case therefore missed the statute of limitation. They actually paid a low but no choice payout)me out of their pockets as the case dissolved and the other side paid nothing! Had I known she would back burner my case I would never ever had hired her!!! What a fiasco!

Susan has represented me in the past with out standing results, she has helped my daughter when she was in need and today without a doubt knowing this awesome woman helped me end a marriage with pure confidence. I recommend her because she is compassionate about what you are going through and honest. past outstanding results. Susan Lax my friend for life and attorney I would not turn anyone away from you. I was referred to Susan by a friend who had used her for a small matter. I retained this lawyer for divorce. I'm glad to read that others had good experiences with her. I had NONE and it still cost me so much money. Her employees change constantly. Never a call back. Administrative errors galore. Sloppy. The receptionist who answers the phone actually will chuckle the whole time she's answering the phone. It's great that the employees are having a grand old time--on your dime--while also creating DOUBLE-WORK (double$$) due to their sloppy errors. Unprofessional, sloppy, barely awake. Avoid this firm at all costs.
