Kalina Hillard is a joke. She does not have the child’s best interest at heart, only dollar signs and the easy way out. She was the appointmented Guardian ad litem for our case, and she neglected to do to her job thoroughly. She was too in a hurry to get the case over since she was going on her honeymoon around the same time as our court date then take the time to do her job. She had made her decision before the courts BEFORE even coming to our home or doing ANY research. What a sad excuse of a guardian ad item and as a person. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Very caring, supportive lawyers

Kalina Hillard handled our dissolution. She said in our first meeting if I had any questions to call. After a week with no return call and could not even get her to email me the paperwork. She heard personal conversations between me and my wife discussing property and then a month later ask me to sign a waiver stating she does not represent me only my wife. Probably should have had that waiver signed at the first meeting. She made mistakes on the paperwork several times and I had to pay another attorney to check her work. She has very little experience practicing law and even charged extra because she is not in Lucas County. The filing of this does not require her to travel so not sure why she charged extra. I would not recommend this firm.

Kalina Hillard took my money. Ignored the info I gave regarding my ex husbands income which caused my daughter and I to lose nearly a years worth of back child support. Lost papers I gave her, such as his income info & divorce w/children required classes. Ignored what I was requesting in the divorce and yet told me he agreed to everything just to get me to sign the agreement. She doesn’t care about her clients a tiny bit. It’s all about the money. My ex refuses to follow the judges orders and now I am attempting to go back to court on my own as she won’t do anything. I’ve had a total of 4 attorneys (divorce, disability and medical malpractice). Kalina is the worst lawyer I have ever had to deal with. Uncaring and greedy. Perhaps it was just her rush to get her cases closed in Wood county as she began her new job. Whatever the case maybe, I highly recommend anyone BUT Kalina.
