He is the go to attorney. I was relieved from the time he took over my case. He is always responsive when you try to reach him, regardless of the time. He walks you through all the options, listens to you patiently and informs you about the pros and cons of each outcome in order to decide the approach that should be taken. Jim tries to understand exactly what his client wants. He gives you advice to help you reach the desired outcome based on his extensive experience and knowledge. Jim Dearie really fought for me when it looked like I had zero chance of beating a shoplifting charge that could have completely ruined my life. I had priors but the charge was unwarranted and I did not intentionally do anything wrong. Unfortunately it is really hard to convince people of the truth when they are so focused on past faults. Jim believed in me and fought for months for a good outcome. We eventually reached an agreement where I could have the charge expunged after one year. No jail time no probation. It was the absolute best I could have hoped for. He was really determined and listened to my needs throughout the entire process. He was great with communication and always there when I needed him.
