I am not a resident of Ohio, so when a family member in Ohio died intestate, I was unable to be the responsible party handling the probate process before the court despite being a CPA licensed in several states. I had to hire an attorney in Ohio to do this. After speaking with several firms, I chose Mr. Culpepper because his competence and professionalism were evident in our initial consultation. Beyond that, he was quite personable and I felt that he really listened to my concerns. I was apprehensive about the 'out of state' component of my situation but it was evident that Mr. Culpepper had both the technical and internal process infrastructure to accommodate our transactions as well as experience in working non-resident probate administration for other parties. Through the probate process, I mostly worked with Patty Niswonger who is a paralegal at the firm. She was impeccable. Her communication with me was dependable, timely, and always very professional. She performed the work for the probate competently and efficiently. It seemed to me that she truly takes pride in her work, that it matters to her to do it correctly and well, and that she also values the part of her work that involves being of service to others. I really felt very fortunate to have been able to work with her through this process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this firm for any of the services that they offer. I felt that I could trust them implicitly and I would certainly hire them again if needed.
