Great attorney

I almost made a horrible mistake getting a second opinion from another attorney and almost believed the him. When I went back to talk to Carl he reassured me he was genuinely sincere in what he was telling me and he even offered me to talk to another person as I did they reassure me Carl was absolutely correct.I deal with a lot of sales business people and I have never seen for a long time anybody look me the eye with such sincerity I could just tell. At that moment he want to do the best he can possibly do for me.I will be following up with review and I am sure Carl is going to do a fantastic job.2/8/2021 Wow! It’s been a year and all is settled ! Carl has done the most outstanding job for me I could have ever asked for! I almost made a couple of mistakes myself by getting nervous and settling early. Carl explained how I could be unfairly hurting my best interests! He just said “ let me do my job and he really fought tooth and nail to the end! And the settlement was very good! I would highly recommend Carl with question! And Carl has a big heart, really cares about his clients. I know only 5 stars are available on this review. I’d give 10 if I could.

This review is based on my one phone call with Mr. Carl McCoy, not his legal expertise or ability to perform in court. I have a relatively small legal situation, and was referred to Mr. McCoy by another attorney. It took me 2 phone calls, one voicemail and one message by the receptionist to finally reach Mr. McCoy. He was courteous enough to call me back right after the second message, but sounded impatient on the phone. I very briefly introduced the situation, which appears to be only a small claim court case. His first suggestion was that it would not be worth it, and he did not ask any questions after my quick introduction. I responded by saying that I do think it is more than a small claim if we dig into it, and that I care more about getting some justice back. I also offered to send him a one-page summary and supporting documents that I have compiled. He simply replied that he would take a look at the documents but there would be a $250 charge upfront, and if we agree to have him represent me and go after the case, he would need a $5000 retainer and charge by his regular hourly rate, no matter what the result of the case would be. Again, he didn't ask even one question about the case or the documents. I don't know if this was his tactic to shoot down what he perceives as a non-worthy small case because he is a "big lawyer," or he is just a greedy person who doesn't care about anything but his bottom line. Either way, it was very disappointing. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Mr. McCoy, especially if you want to find someone who cares more about helping people, treats others with respect, and seeks truth and fairness.
