Saul Goodman in the flesh!!! I'm a CDL holder and recently got pulled over, and if found guilty of, it'll been like a death sentence in the industry. I called and spoke to a couple of attorneys before I found Mr. Lombardi and none of them possessed what he exuded, which is confidence!! It was a done deal after that. I'm well beyond satisfied with the resolution of my case, Mr. Lombardi is the man!!!

Highly recommend working with Erb Legal. Both Anna Ley and Thomas Erb were very helpful throughout the entire process. I had peace of mind knowing that they were acting in my best interest, leaning forward, hoping for the best, and preparing for the worst. Communication was timely, effective, and frequent enough to give me peace of mind. Ultimately, I got the desired outcome and I could not have done with without the commitment from the Erb Legal team.

You positively cannot go wrong with this Erb Legal, LLC. Believe me: If you take a wrong turn in the greater Akron area- I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. I slipped up while traveling through town and I was facing a big ugly felony. Without intervention - and having no knowledge of the system and no criminal record- my imagination would definitely have got the better of me. I was absolutely convinced Summit County would lock me up and throw away the key- and that I could kiss my right to vote, own firearms and travel freely goodbye forever. I’ve never been a bigger nervous wreck over anything. Not only was the entire team over Erb legal extremely responsive, attentive and professional- they calmed my fiery nerves and kept me from being an ugly sobbing disaster, (especially at the critical pre-trial), assuring me that it was marathon. They put me at ease - no easy feat for a neurotic New Yorker (by the way being from out of state ratcheted up my anxiety to another level). My attorney from Erb Legal was Wesley Buchanan- he was rational, experienced, well spoken, very intelligent and sharply dressed. His manner, tone and repoire with the judge and court officials was refined and positively beyond reproach. This guy is going to make you look like ‘a million bucks’ innocent - no matter how big of a Nervous scruffy criminal wreck you fears say you may appear … Also, (and this was critical) Wesley was the lone voice of reason when I was drowning in a sea of irrational, dark and menacing fears. In the final analysis, he very likely talked me out of wasting at least ten thousand more dollars (and maybe a lot more) on a potentially losing strategy. He demonstrated a level of integrity you will rarely find in the criminal justice industry. (I would imagine anyway.) A more ruthless and opportunistic attorney could very well have exploited my fears cost me and my poor family ten or fifteen grand (minimum) and I still may have ended up in a cage with a terrible ugly record. If you’re in trouble - for whatever reason, call around of course - but make sure that Erb Legal is high on your list. Criminal court is no place to gamble. I’m sure if you take the time to speak to them, you will agree: they’re some of the finest and most professional attorneys between Akron, Ohio and New York, NY (and Los Angeles, CA come to that.) if you want to avoid incarceration and get the best outcome possible with the least amount of pain. (And expense. ) Don’t roll the dice with a court appointed defender when your future, freedom and reputation are on the line. Be smart. This is good money spent, take it from me. The criminal justice system is a scary place for the uninitiated. Nothing is more expensive than a bad attorney. I can personally assure you, they are worth every penny. And probably more - you can’t put a dollar value on your freedom and reputation, a fact I didn’t realize until they were under siege. Thanks for reading, folks. And good luck to you! I’m rooting for you … And I hope you the case! Don’t take any chances. Forget about Nationwide, it’s Erb Legal that’s on your side. Oh stop it, Nationwide! You’re alright, too. Erb Legal, LLC - check it out, ladies and gents, they’re awesome, you’ll thank me later on down the line. Steven Bussen, New York City

Unfortunately I've had to use my fair share of lawyers in the past. Mr. Noble was fair, and did everything in his power to come to a conclusion that you are happy with. I thought forsure I was going to trial. But the magic Mr. Noble worked allowed me to continue in my programs I was currently in without violating. I was honestly very surprised he was able to pull those strings. I've had multiple status hearings and forgot to call him and tell him I had court. On 3 separate occasions.... He appeared every time ready to go to war for me if needbe. I've never left a review for a product on Amazon let alone a lawyer in Avvo. I got curious what he was rated on here and saw he had no reviews. I could not let that be considering what he did for me. If you are in need of a fair priced lawyer who actually cares about the case Mr. Noble is the man you need to go see. Seriously can not thank him enough and he is probably tired of me saying it every time I see him hahaha. It's awful most times people leave a review its because it's negative and thats what compelled them to leave a review. Great representation often goes un rewarded. So I'm here to let the world know or portage county bahaha in this case, if you need Great representation in your corner, give Mr. Noble a call.

I was in a jam for a DUI and Carrying concealed firearms, along with being under the influence I also had other charges that I could have been hit with. Not only did Mike work diligently to resolve my case and have those supplemental charges dropped he made life changing suggestions. With mike there’s no bs and he works hard to do whatever he can to resolve your case with the best outcome I was certainly looking at a few years in prison with the charges I had against me but with Mikes help I was able to get probation. I strongly recommend Mike for any legal issues I can certainly rely on him for whatever the needs he’ll go above and beyond.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Ravenna, Ohio?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
