We hired Susan after my stepdaughters falsely accused me of abusing my husband and children to child protection services. Despite their parents being divorced for over twenty years, they remained bitter and resentful of our family. With three children of our own, they couldn't accept their father's financial support for our kids instead of theirs. Fortunately, all allegations were dismissed when the social worker investigated our home. However, due to the stress of the situation, we sought Susan's help in obtaining a protection order. Despite feeling anxious and hurt by my stepdaughters' lies, I felt that Susan treated me as if she believed them. It felt like she didn't take me seriously and was undermining my credibility, at a time when my credibility was already being challenged.
