I would give Margaret five stars as a person but zero stars as an attorney. She has a lot of good experience but she really dropped the ball several times when she was representing me. My first clue should have been her high retainer fee. Looking back, it makes sense. I am sure many clients refuse to pay her and she has a hard time collecting her fees. Her biggest flaw is that she thinks she is the judge and jury in all her cases. She crafts her own opinion as to what is a fair settlement is in the case and will do nothing for her client beyond that. The reason I know this is that after I fired her, my new attorney brought up many things that Margaret had knowledge of and should have been presented to me. For some reason, she decided to withhold a lot of information. She told me she began her legal career in corporate law. I have worked with many corporate attorneys and none of them ever handled a case this poorly so it makes sense why should would not have stayed in that area of law.
