Absolutely the best experience I could have while going through a divorce. My divorce was not pretty and Jennifer made sure that I was safe and taken care of during each time. There would’ve been contact. She did everything and more for me. I’m so thankful that I called that morning to find a lawyer and I chose her office Not only is she great but Katie did just as well her paralegal so if you’re looking for a good Lawyer Jennifer is the one to call.

My entire family is thankful for Jennifer Curtis. She is very knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. She went above and beyond to help me through a difficult process. Listened to my wants and needs, always answered or replied in a reasonable time, and explained things so I could understand. I would give more than 5 stars, if possible. Definitely would very highly recommend

From initial contact to the final court date, I received the most courteous, friendly, polite engagement from not just the attorney but front desk and everyone in between. They all are extremely passionate about their job and service they bring to their clients and courtroom. My divorce which should have been so easy turned into such a nightmare. With Jeff, Jennifer and Connie I was able to make it through. They made themselves available despite a busy schedule. I would definitely recommend Meadows Law Firm for any legal issues or concerns. If one doesn’t know they will quickly find out or refer.

He fights to the end, 100% trustworthy and honest, a kind man but one tough defense attorney. Personally cared about me and got me the best outcome possible. Mr. Meadows has sway with many different court personnel. Hire him.

I got pulled over for a traffic violation and I literally didn’t do anything. I knew that I was being served for a quota by the highway patrol. He pulled me over illegally and then acted like he was doing me a favor by giving me a seat belt violation (I was wearing my seatbelt by the way…just had the shoulder strap below my breast because of an upcoming breast surgery). The officer never even told me about the 3 warnings he put down on my ticket (his reasoning for pulling me over was me touching the white safety line in the slow lane “supposedly”). I already know some of you are reading this like “it is a non-moving violation and I would have just paid it.” I heard that from attorneys actually whom I tried to hire. To me, it was the principal of the matter. I knew that I did nothing wrong and my insurance company would not guarantee they wouldn’t ding me for it. Plus, I was wearing my seat belt!! The crazy part is other attorneys were nonchalant saying they would charge $500 and there weren’t any guarantees. If an attorney is not confident run! Jeff Meadows was confident, even knew the highway patrol officer by name, and frequently goes into Hamilton’s courts! He requested the video and audio footage from the State Highway Patrol. When I was supposed to go to trial, Jeff called me stating not to bother, the case was dismissed!!! They didn’t even provide the footage requested and Jeff handled it like a pro!! I suspect that the footage incriminated the officer and with a competent and confident attorney like Jeff representing you, you are in the best position to win!! I can’t say enough good things about Jeff and his office staff! They call to remind you of court hearings and answer any questions too! Don’t hesitate to give Jeff and his firm a shot to win your case and represent you in the right way! Too many other attorneys want to get paid without caring if they win or not.

I goofed and went before a local Judge whos known for not liking DUIs or gun cases in particular, unrepresented. Long story short Mr. Fox was able to get my sentence reduced by quite a few years after the matter. I paid alot more for alot less in a Legal matter not covered by Mr. Fox elsewhere so I've got to be honest, what Mr. Fox charged me was more than reasonable. He's a down to earth dude too. I remember eating lunch in Downtown Hamilton and he'd be there always cordial with even random Strangers. Yet, he knows Ohio Law and fights for his Clients. He's had several go to Supreme Court so he's not going to just laydown and kiss the ring if the Clients been wronged. Highly recommend. I hope I don't need his service again, but if I do there's no way I'm calling anyone but Mr. Fox.

Mr. Jonathan Fox was retained for my husband's case in 2018. He found that he had been over-sentenced by one year on a prior charge. This error slipped through two attorneys and one judge. Mr. Fox is a highly qualified and experienced attorney who was able to have his sentence corrected and file for a judicial release on his behalf. Mr. Fox is a professional, yet friendly attorney who takes on a personalized approach to bring justice and serve his clients. I highly recommend him for any criminal case. He is the best!

At first I thought it was going to get thrown out then he said he can get it reduced to dangerous driving then he surprised me and got me reduced to physical control with no points on my license 2 years non-reporting probation monthly payments for the court 50 dollars a month. It really helps not to have a criminal background have a clean background check and if you get a ovi operating a vehicle under the influence that you didnt have alot to drink or that your blood alcohol content isnt way over the legal limit. My pee test came back 3 points above the legal limit. He is a awesome attorney at lower cost (Hes really good you could get the same as me if you do have a criminal background and if you do drink alot but it helps if you dont). Thank you very much Jon Fox Ill recommend you to my friends and family. Sorry for the late review.

I would highly, highly recommend Mrs. Kendrick. She came in, in the middle of our case, which had been a 5 year losing battle, and she "kicked ass," and turned our case completely around and saved, what I feel like, is the future and lives of these children. Because of Mrs. Kendrick, these children now have a wonderful life and a positive future and a very loving and caring family life. We often thank God for Mrs. Kendrick, she's the "best."

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of West Chester, Ohio?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
