We hired Phil Hoover as our 3rd attorney (the first attorney we let go and the 2nd attorney the courts removed) on our custody case, which lasted all of 4 years. Phil is by far one of the best attorneys around and I would not hire anyone else! He not only listened to us, let us be very involved in our case, but fought tooth and nail, even when things didn't go our way. He flat out never gave up!!! And because of his persistence and expertise, we won custody of my step-daughter, even when the GAL was not on our side, he was able to show the courts the truth in all areas of psychological, verbal, emotional and sexual abuse our daughter experienced at the hands of her other parent. I thank God every day Phil was given to us as a referral because otherwise our daughter would be living a nightmare and we are able to give her a safe and stable home! Due to the nature of my case, I needed weekly updates. Phil met my needs and frequently exceeded them. He provided clear guidance on the types of documents or information I needed to provide and gave valuable and timely feedback on my written responses. I could always count on hearing from Phil, either by phone or email, every week, even if there had been no changes in the case. At the time the case settled, we had over two dozen motions before the court, many had not even been scheduled for a hearing, none had been ruled on. That level of inactivity by the court was a major source of ongoing frustration for me.
