January 2023 I hired Evans & Davis to file an S Corp for me. I paid them $600 (a large fee for submission of one form essentially.) Throughout 2023 I emailed Mr. John Weaver on three separate occasions, inquiring as to why I had not yet received confirmation of the S Corp formation. All three times his response was to just move forward assuming it is an S Corp and that the IRS does NOT send confirmation of the formation. This is incorrect; they always send confirmation. And he should have given me the IRS number and informed me that something must be wrong. My accountant said she always received confirmation within 3-4 months at the most. Now, one year later, the IRS has informed me that the S Corp was never formed. I paid salary all of 2023 as if it was an S Corp, you aren’t supposed to do as an LLC. Mr. Weaver’s last email to me accused me of losing the mailed confirmation or “my incompetence” but accepted no responsibility. They did not respond to my request for the refund of my $600. One year later still not an S Corp, down $600 and having to fix this mess with an accountant. There was certainly incompetence involved, but not by me.

Super nice people that we did a trust with. A large value for the trust from our side-but a straight forward trust. However we got a very overcomplicated irrevocable trust from there side regarding a whole life insurance policy that we had. Which was to be used to benefit charities after our passing. So complicated that the trust can't even be used now as it sits..Unless we pay another $7,500 dollars to simplify it. So we can get what we should have received in the beginning! Very disappointing. We have recommended to our business owner friends to go elsewhere, to actually get what they need.
