I was referred by another lawyer to Mr. Taylor- and was told he was the “best” when it came to custody issues. My case was a renegotiation of visitation since my sons father was returning to the local area and I was custodial parent designated during his time away. Anyone who has been through custody/visitation or divorce with minor children issues, knows that it is not pleasant but this was for the most part a painless process. I always believed I was in good hands and that I was getting great representation. Not only did Evan clearly lay out the plan, he provided me an upfront cost as opposed to an hourly rate! I knew exactly what to expect, and whenever I did have questions he was easily accessible and available to answer my questions. He was honest when I asked for guidance and was not pushy of any agenda or approach. I felt he was always an advocate for me as his client! My case was settled in mediation. Which he prepped me for beforehand. His approach was organized, strategic and ethical. If I ever require representation in the future I will most certainly be calling their offices again. Should anyone require a reference for Mr. Taylor I’d happily give his practice a glowing review!

My experience with him was very good. At first I met with a few attorneys that seemed to not want to hear the whole story and just get down to the dollar amount. It felt comforting to have someone really care about my situation and let me speak in my time of grief. He was very good at getting back to me and patient with all of my questions and concerns. I will say he is very busy so don’t expect him to be available immediately. When your case is up he will focus his whole attention to making sure He is prepared. I contacted Evan Taylor as a new client regarding my child custody agreement. Evan immediately met with me for a consultation about my issues at a minimal cost. After the consultation, there were more questions I needed council on. Evan has been patient and continues to provide council. I offered to pay him for his ongoing support, which he declined and said he was more than happy to give advice until this went to court. When this matter comes to court I know Evan will be prepared and engaged. Evan makes a stressful situation very comfortable knowing he is going to be in my corner. My wife and I hired Mr. Taylor to represent her in a custody/child support case against her jerk ex-husband. During the initial consult, Mr. Taylor indicated to my wife that she had an “excellent chance” of prevailing. She proceeded, and we paid him roughly $4500 for his services, with no indication that he’d changed his assessment of the case . . . Then came the arbitration date. Suddenly, Mr. Taylor advised my wife that she “couldn’t win” on the child support adjustment issue. Taylor suggested that she accept the offer from opposing counsel — a sleazy state legislator, btw — to drop the specious custody demands in exchange for money. Now, there are two possibilities: (1) Mr. Taylor is incompetent and didn’t realize until too late that my wife “couldn’t win,” or (2) he strung her along so that he could collect a nice paycheck. I’ve met Mr. Taylor, and didn’t think him stupid. So, I’m going with the second: Taylor encouraged my wife to fight on a point she couldn’t win so he could charge her more money. More money is what the ex-husband really wanted as well, and if he in fact had the legal advantage on the child support angle, it would have been better for us to make the horse trade at the outset. We should’ve listened to my father, who warned that an attorney (like Mr. Taylor) represents his own interests first, and his client’s only second.

Evan put forth a tremendous amount of effort and understanding in working my case. He was available when needed and always stayed on top of dates, appointments and emails! I am very grateful for everything he has done for me and my case! I would highly recommend Evan Taylor to anyone who has a custody case, especially to those that feel helpless in their respective situations!
