I, sadly have been divorced more than once. One of my experience cost me more money than I care to share in public. Using the Law Offices of Lawrence Goodwin was a smart move on my part. I was given a very honest assessment of how the divorce would happen and what I could expect. My-out of-pocket legal fees were a lot less than what I expected. So all divorces are not the same and neither are all divorce attorneys. We all have heard you get what you pay for but I had no idea what my case was in for. After paying a consultation fee and a rather hefty retainer to another firm, I received no assistance and the day of my hearing I had a lawyer show up whom I had never seen before and he knew nothing about my case. And it showed in the results. Incomes were wrong, property was not mentioned and we left with less direction than when we got there. Then, I hired Lawrence and he did exactly what he said he could and would at my meeting with him, which he does not charge for. He was highly skilled in the Courtroom and made my ex look like the liar that he is. He was much more prepared than the opposition, which everyone in the Court could tell that the Judge appreciates preparation and getting to the point. Lawrence had no problem getting to the point so be prepared for honesty when meeting with him. No candy coating. That’s what I wanted when dealing with my kids and our future. I highly recommend him and his staff, Martha and Bri and I can tell you from first hand experience when you’re going through a divorce or child custody issues, get the best it’s worth it!

Can't say enough about Lawrence and his team. My divorce was very contentious, lasting almost 1 1/2 years. They never wavered, always communicated with me. Kept me prepared. Despite several attempts at mediation, we ended up at trial -- the result was unbelievable. My alimony was barely 1/3 of opposing counsel's ask, and for less than half the amount of time asked. I would recommend Lawrence to anyone in need of a family law attorney. You'll never doubt that he has your best interests at heart.
