Working with noble McIntyre As I am one of his workers I have come to see the utter disgust I have for a man like him he would make me sit in his Range Rover and then proceed to call me names and touch my genitals with his hand and he said if I ever told anyone I would be fired but sadly it has come to the point where I can’t take it anymore

This was my first experience with an attorney that did everything in the time period she said she would. This was also my first time an attorney responded to my emails or phone calls immediately. The process was explained clearly with no surprises. I hope I don't need her services again, but if I do, Monica Schweighart will be my first choice.

I don’t know much about law except for the few classes I had in college. I DO KNOW about Monica & McIntyre Law. The firm is very professional & Monica has to be the best I’ve ever been in contact with. She gets things done & communicates very well. It’s like having your best friend just a phone call away!!

Brenda Gómez O’dell La mejor GRACIAS!!!!

I was involved in a car accident in 2018. After six weeks of misinformation, confusion, and frustration with my insurance company and that of the other party, I asked my friends if they could recommend a good personal injury lawyer. Two friends highly recommended McIntyre Law firm. So I researched and compared McIntyre Law to the other law firms on legal sites such as Avvo, FindLaw, Super Lawyers, and Justia, as well as the Oklahoma Bar Association and each firm’s website. By far, McIntyre Law was the most professional firm hands down, which earned my respect. I contacted the firm, met with Monica, and she took my case. What I love is that Monica and the rest of the staff were upfront, presented the pros and cons, and did not attempt to raise my hopes with promises or falsehoods. Additionally, each and every person at the firm had compassion and understanding and spoke in friendly tones that made you feel like a person and not just a client. The medical bills were overwhelming and Monica took over, contacted each medical provider, and had all further contact go through her. Communication was awesome, and while I was not in attendance for the defendant’s deposition, I was able to read it in its entirety. The questions and rebuttals posed to the defendant were not only on target, they were brilliant. If you want someone on your side, THIS is the team you need. In the two years it took to settle the case (due to the defendant’s change of lawyers and the coronavirus shutdowns), Mr. McIntyre, Monica, and team consistently worked to come to a settlement with the defendant’s legal team. Once an agreement was reached, Monica negotiated with the medical providers to get the bills reduced to a very reasonable amount. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate all their efforts, and the faith they had with my case. Now I can go back to physical therapy with peace of mind and without medical bills hanging over my head. If you catch any of Nobel McIntyre’s television ads, you will see just how professional he is – no gimmicks, no yelling, no promises or guarantees of $1,000,000 rewards. I’ve noticed the other law firms have suddenly toned down their ads to be more friendly and professional. It’s good to be a leader in your profession!

My siblings and I had the pleasure of working with James Thiessen with our parents estate and subsequent probate. Not only did he provide excellent service but he maintained regular contact and answered all of our questions throughout the process. I felt confident with his handling of our case and his legal expertise. I would highly recommend this office for any probate and/or estate needs.

Can a Lawyer Represent Me in Courts Outside of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma?

Whether a lawyer can represent you in courts outside of your city or state depends on their licensure and the jurisdiction of the court:

  • Within the Same State:
Lawyers licensed in a particular state can typically practice anywhere within that state, including all cities and counties. They can represent you in both state and federal courts located in that state.
  • Outside of Their Licensed State:
If your case is in a different state, the lawyer must be licensed in that state to represent you. However, there are exceptions:
    • Pro Hac Vice Admission: An out-of-state lawyer can request special permission to represent a client in a specific case in another state. This requires filing a motion with the court and often working in conjunction with a local attorney.
    • Federal Courts: If your case is in federal court, a lawyer licensed in any state may be able to represent you, provided they are admitted to practice in that particular federal court.
  • International Representation:
For cases outside the United States, different rules apply, and the lawyer may need to comply with the foreign country's legal requirements or collaborate with local counsel.

It's important to discuss your specific situation with the lawyer to determine if they can represent you in the desired jurisdiction and what steps may be necessary to do so.

How to Check the Credibility of a Lawyer

Before hiring a lawyer, it's crucial to verify their credibility and ensure they're qualified to handle your case:

  • Verify Their License:
Check with your state's bar association to confirm the lawyer is licensed and in good standing. Most state bar websites have an online directory for this purpose.
  • Experience and Specialization:
Ensure the lawyer specializes in the area of law relevant to your case. Review their website, professional profiles, and case history.
  • Disciplinary Record:
Look up any history of disciplinary actions or complaints through the state bar association's records.
  • Client Reviews and Testimonials:
Read reviews on legal directories like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, Google, or Yelp to gauge client satisfaction and experiences.
  • Professional Memberships:
Membership in professional organizations or specialty bar associations can indicate a commitment to their field and adherence to high ethical standards.
  • Awards and Recognitions:
Honors from reputable organizations reflect expertise and a positive reputation in the legal community.
  • Consultation Assessment:
Use the initial consultation to evaluate their communication skills, responsiveness, and willingness to address your concerns.
  • Ask for References:
A credible lawyer should be willing to provide references from past clients who can speak to their abilities and professionalism.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most of your initial meeting with a lawyer, come prepared with:

  • Relevant Documents:
Bring all documents related to your case, such as:
    • Contracts or agreements
    • Correspondence (emails, letters, texts)
    • Legal notices or court papers
    • Financial records (if applicable)
    • Evidence (photos, videos, receipts)
  • Written Summary:
Prepare a concise written summary of your situation, including key dates, events, and parties involved. This helps the lawyer quickly understand the context.
  • List of Questions:
Write down any questions you have about your case, the legal process, fees, or the lawyer's experience.
  • Financial Information:
If your case involves financial matters, bring relevant documents like pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, or invoices.
  • Contact Information:
Provide details of any witnesses or other parties relevant to your case, including their names and contact information.
  • Personal Identification:
Bring a valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  • Pen and Notebook:
Take notes during the consultation to remember important points discussed.
  • Budget Constraints:
Be ready to discuss your budget and any financial limitations so the lawyer can provide appropriate guidance on fees and payment options.
  • Openness and Honesty:
Be prepared to discuss your case candidly. Full disclosure allows the lawyer to give accurate advice and anticipate potential challenges.
