Bruce Edge and and his team let me down and cost me another trip to jail and a 2500 bond/25000 bench warrant. The three communications I received from Edge Law after having intake with Bruce and paying the $2300 of an $8000 fee was as follows. 1st phone call from his office saying you missed your court date. Jason Edge is in court waiting on you. I asked Bruce during intake if I needed to be there and he said no that is what you are paying us for. Second communication was an email sent to me giving me my next court date that I did not receive. No phone calls no communication in 2 months. Third communication was from his office on my court date asking why I wasn’t there. How would I know? We sent you a letter. In the mail? No an email. You sent an email to one of three email boxes I don’t even check on a weekly basis. You wouldn’t call or text me about my court date? The next thing I know I check on my case I have a $25000 bench warrant and Jason Edge has withdrawn from my case. He didn’t even have the common decency to call me and tell me he withdrew and that I now have a bench warrant for my arrest. This is simply negligent and unprofessional. I hope the same doesn’t happen to the next guy or girl. Unfortunately I now have to be rebooked and pay an additional $2500 to my bail bondsman. This is a complete lack of communication by retained council and legal malpractice. Daniel, We are very sorry to see this review. We care dearly about every client that we defend, and each client that we defend has to be an active participant in their own defense to obtain the best possible outcome for their legal matter. This includes showing up for court dates required by law. Certain types of charges require that you physically appear in court and our staff diligently notified you of these dates. Reminders were sent to the e-mail address that you supplied. We also sent letters in the mail to your address and called you to remind you over the phone. Unfortunately, if you do not show up for court, the judge is required to issue a warrant. We were successful in avoiding a warrant for the first failed appearance. Our defense attorney was there in court ready to defend you on the second court date when the judge decided to issue a warrant. Our attorney even offered to wait extra time at the courthouse and help you fix this matter, until you declined to come to court. Providing the absolute best service to our clients is very important to us and the corporation of our clients is necessary to provide this service. Bruce Edge Bruce, Your statements are blatantly false. There was no diligence in contacting me or letters sent. Your contact with me is listed in my review. No more no less. Legal malpractice plain and simple.
