Hired Hunter back in November 2022, to which Stange law firm switched my attorney three times without my knowledge. Ended up with a lawyer named Hannah Welholff who apparently thought she was representing the person I was divorcing. It was a very simple case, rewrite a part of the petition we both agreed upon. Instead, she constantly up charged me and went over the entire petition, even as far as to email me then call immediately after. She finally closes my case in March and adds on all these additional fees in my client portal, which I couldn’t and didn’t have access to until after the case was closed. After many conversations and emails about not going over the trust amount she charges over $800 and Stange’s response is “oh the case is now closed” I would recommend not hiring anyone from this law firm. Communication between client and lawyer is definitely not reliable.

My family worked with 2 different lawyers to attain guardianship of one of my family members. The first lawyer dragged their feet for YEARS with no results. The second one dragged their feet for 9 months. Finally, I hired Stange Law and worked with Laura Voegeli. Laura turned the case around in 3-weeks. We talked regularly about the status of the cases and I was prepared for 3 different court dates. I was informed about what to expect heading into court, details on the judge, and what the next steps were afterwards. I highly recommend Laura. She's professional, quick, thorough, and sympathetic. She took an extremely stressful and emotional experience and helped me feel calm and ready to handle the situation. Stange Law Firm IS pricey but you definitely get what you paid for. You get professionalism, updates throughout each step of the process, and clear, consistent communication.

This is the worst law firm I have ever dealt with. They terminate their attorneys and then the client is left in a lurch not knowing anything. It was never disclosed to me what they charge by the hour. I am still waiting on my refund and I will continue to ask for it because it is due me. You are on your own with this law firm. I would refer them to no one.

Jay Bills was my son’s attorney and I was the payee. I paid a considerable amount upfront and decided my son and I could not afford the case and my son and myself asked for the case to be closed. Jay Bills said you can pause the case but we insisted the case be closed. We later found out Jay Bills is no longer with the firm and Jay Bills said nothing. Bottom line if we get no refund my son and I will contact the bar. This is very deceptive and shady.

The attorney we were assigned is Jay Bills and I must say he is a go getter and he got done what we needed done! He was very sincere, empathetic, honest and very stern when we needed him to be. We are so thankful to Jay for getting our issues resolved. Thanks so much Jay!! Lorie and JR Blackwell
